Collection of Brine Analyses from Kentucky Oil and Gas Wells This collection contains scanned brine analyses records collected with Kentucky oil and gas well drilling activity. Samples are associated with collection sites. The overall goal of this research program was to discern relationships between carbonate lithologies, stratigraphic units, and properties such as chemistry and rock porosity. Much of the raw data collected at the sites is contained in archived field notes available on the KGS website. A map-based website was developed to disseminate sample sites, field notes, and chemical analyses for major element oxides (Ca, Mg, Al, Fe, and Si) for the samples listed here at http://kgs.uky.edu/kylimestone/.
