These data were collected during a travel time and dissolved oxygen study along a 1-mile reach of the Blue River downstream from 58th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The study was a cooperative effort between the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Urban Waters Federal Partnership program, and the Kansas City, Missouri, Water Services Department. This is part of a larger USGS effort supporting the Middle Blue River Basin Urban Waters Federal Partnership. This data release contains continuous water-quality measurements (Blue_River_CQWM.csv), rhodamine dye sensor data (Blue_River_dye_profiles.csv), analytical data from synoptic water-quality samples (Blue_River_QWDATA.csv), manual...

This child item dataset contains a single horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) measurement from Delaware County, New York, DHVSR8. Raw and processed HVSR data for this HVSR measurement are included in a zipped directory named by the measurement site identifier. The HVSR data-collection sites are designated by a county sequential numbering system (DHVSR8, etc. where "D" indicates Delaware County).

This child page contains eight csv files, site_flow, which contain daily streamflow values for each site. Each file includes a station identifier, date of observation, measured value of streamflow and qualifier code for the measured value. The format of the csv file (date format and column headings) is designed to meet the specific requirements of file format for R-QWTREND. If csv files are opened directly in excel, the format of the data can change. To ensure the data are in the proper format for R-QWTREND, files should be opened in a text editor. The "site" in site_flow can be cross-referenced to the main report by downloading the zipped folder HRtrend folder from child page, "Scripts to run R-QWTREND models and...

The datasets provided here are the input data used to run the Seasonal Kendall Trend (SKT) tests and Weighted Regressions on Time, Discharge, and Season (WRTDS) models. SKT tests use "annualSamplingFreqs_allSites.csv" and "wqData_screenedSitesAll.csv" which includes, for all site-parameter combinations, information on annual sampling frequencies and the screened water-quality data, respectively. The WRTDS models use "DRB.wqdata.20200521.csv", "DRB.flow.20200610.zip", and "DRB.info.20200521.csv" for calibration which includes, for all site-parameter combinations, the water-quality data, streamflow data (as separate .csv files for each site), model specifications and site information, respectively. The multisource...

This child item dataset contains a shapefile of labels for hydrogeologic sections illustrated in Heisig, 2023 (figure 3, plate 1). The "Sec_ID" attribute lists letter-number designations for the ends of each section. Hydrogeologic section labels are in the format x - x'. By convention, the x is on the west side and the x' is on the east side of generally horizontal sections. In generally vertical sections, the x is the westernmost of the section ends and the x' is the eastermost end of the section line.

High-resolution geophysical mapping of Lake Powell in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah and Arizona was conducted between October 8 and November 15, 2017, as part of a collaborative effort between the U.S. Geological Survey and the Bureau of Reclamation to provide high-quality data needed to reassess the area-capacity tables for the Lake Powell reservoir. Seismic data collected during this survey can help to define the rates of deposition within the San Juan and Colorado Rivers, which are the main inflows to Lake Powell. These new data are intended to improve water budget management decisions that affect the natural and recreational resources of the reservoir. Multibeam echosounder bathymetry and...

This data release contains dissolved cyanotoxin concentrations for microcystins (MC), cylindrospermopsins (CYL), anatoxins (ATX), and saxitoxins (STX) assessed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry or tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS and LC-MS/MS, respectively) in extracts from SPATT (n=95) and DGT samplers (n=10) deployed on three Finger Lakes (Owasco, Seneca, and Skaneateles) between June and November 2019. Relative percent contributions of microcystin congeners are also provided for samples analyzed by LC-MS and LC-MS/MS. Solid phase adsorption toxin tracking (SPATT) and diffusive gradients in thin-films (DGT) are types of passive environmental samplers containing...

This child item dataset contains a single horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) measurement from Orange County, New York, for 39 measurements, OHVSR1 through OHVSR39. Raw and processed HVSR data for this HVSR measurement are included in a zipped directory named by the measurement site identifier. The HVSR data-collection sites are designated by a county sequential numbering system (OHVSR1, OHVSR2, etc. where "O" indicates Orange County).

This child page contains a zipped folder which contains all items necessary to run geochemical models and produce results published in U.S. Geological Scientific Investigations Report 2022–5013 [Tatge, W.S., Nustad, R.A., and Galloway, J.M., 2022, Evaluation of Salinity and Nutrient Conditions in the Heart River Basin, North Dakota, 1970-2020: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2022-5013]. The main folder contains a readme.txt and a file called allsiteinfo.table.csv that can be used to learn how to use the files and reference sites to the main report. Also the main folder contains two folders Model Zone 1 and 2 which include a .pqi, .pqo, and .txt files that can be used to run the models and...

In 2004, about 90 migrating elk drowned after attempting to cross thin ice on the Mores Creek arm of Lucky Peak Lake upstream of the Highway 21 bridge. To better understand the depths over a range of reservoir pool elevations in the Mores Creek Arm, the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Lucky Peak Power Plant Project, conducted high-resolution multibeam echosounder (MBES) bathymetric surveys on the Mores Creek arm on Lucky Peak Lake. The MBES data will assist reservoir managers and wildlife biologists with regulating reservoir water surface elevations (WSE) to support successful big game migration across Mores Creek on Lucky Peak Lake. Data collection provided nearly 100 percent coverage of bed elevations...

This child page contains cross-section geometry data collected from five sites on the Upper Colorado River, Colorado, during April 6-8, 2022. The five sites selected for monitoring were located at the Pumphouse Recreation Area, Radium Recreation Site, State Bridge, above Catamount, and below Sweetwater Creek. A cross section was surveyed at each site using real-time kinematic Global Navigation Satellite System survey methods to document the channel geometry. All five cross sections are incorporated in this data release and presented in CSV files, with one file for each monitoring site.

In 2009, the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho released and implemented the Kootenai River Habitat Restoration Master Plan. This plan aimed to restore, enhance, and maintain the Kootenai River habitat and landscape to support and sustain habitat conditions for aquatic species and animal populations. In support of these restoration efforts, the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, conducted high-resolution multibeam echosounder bathymetric surveys as a baseline bathymetric monitoring survey on the Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Three channel patterns or reaches exist in the study area: braided, meander, and a transitional zone connecting the braided and meander reaches. Bathymetric...
