A derivative product called a 'shape index' was calculated from satellite gravity data acquired from the gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE) satellite mission. The satellite data were processed to emphasize mass-surplus (dome-like) and -deficit (bowl-like) anomalies described in Ebbing and others (2018). GeoTIFF grids over the US and Canada and Australia are provided here and were used to calculate prospectivity for sediment-hosted Pb-Zn across the three countries. Shallow soil characteristics were mapped near Shellmound, Mississippi, using the DualEM 421 electromagnetic sensor in October 2018. Data were acquired by towing the DualEM sensor on a wheeled cart behind an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), with the sensor at a height of 0.432 meters (m) above the ground surface. Approximately 175 line-kilometers of data were acquired over an area of nearly four square-kilometers, with 25 m separation between survey lines. Data were manually edited for noise sources such as powerlines or other buried structures and averaged to regular output soundings every 5 m along survey lines. The processed data were inverted to recover models of electrical resistivity structure as a function of depth...

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides U-Pb zircon data and geochronology for Proterozoic rocks in the Needle Mountains of southwestern Colorado and for Proterozoic rocks sampled from drill cores from Wyoming, Montana, and Nebraska. Samples from the Needle Mountains were collected in order to constrain the polyphase tectonic evolution of the area. Drill core samples are part of a larger characterization of the age and geochemical character of basement terranes in the United States.
This dataset consists of 176 wideband magnetotelluric (MT) stations collected from 2015-2019 across parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) acquired these data as part of regional investigations into the geologic and tectonic framework of the area and to support mineral resource investigations. These data have been used to generate a 3D regional conductivity model of the area. Files included in this publication include measured electric- and magnetic-field time series as well as estimated impedance and vertical-magnetic field transfer functions.

The U.S. Army Fort Irwin National Training Center (NTC), approximately 35 mi north-northeast of Barstow, California, covers approximately 1,177 square miles, and is comprised of ten groundwater basins, three of which have been subdivided into subbasins on the basis of additional hydrologic testing. Since the early 1990s, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has been studying water resources issues at Fort Irwin. One issue of concern is the potential effect of groundwater development resulting from planned training expansion and infrastructure at the NTC on natural springs and seeps, an important water source for wildlife. In 2010, the USGS entered into cooperative agreements with the U.S. Army to complete studies of...
