This dataset describes survey data collected for the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), the agency in charge of regulating Colorado River water control operations impounding the Lake Powell reservoir. Additional intent of the collected data was to assure consistencies among gaging elevations at Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Arizona as well as verification and alignment of a recently published topobathymetric digital elevation model for Lake Powell. Glen Canyon Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam on the Colorado River in northern Arizona and is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States. This data release contains the inputs and outputs from the development of Escherichia coli (E. coli) concentration models for the four Missouri River sites near Omaha, Nebraska. Model development, models, and results are published in the associated U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) report Densmore and others, 2020. These datasets are outputs from LOADEST regression models for estimating Escherichia coli (E. coli) concentration in the Missouri River at four sites near Omaha, Nebraska. The datasets described by this metadata are yearly (both water year, Mar - Nov, and recreation season, May - Sept) and daily E. coli concentrations predicted using developed LOADEST models. The development of LOADEST regression models at each of the four sites is described in Densmore and others, 2020. These data sets are in .csv format. Sandbars are ubiquitous in wide, braided, sand-bed rivers throughout the world. In the Great Plains of the United States, recovery and expansion of emergent sandbar habitat (ESH) has been a priority in lowland rivers where the natural extent of sandbars has been degraded. Despite the importance of ESH to river ecology and management, quantitative observations of the deposition and erosion behaviors of populations of sandbars across long segments of braided rivers are rare. The datasets described by this metadata are daily data and include precipitation data and Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) progress (projects completed and combined sewer overflows [CSO] upstream of the sampling site) data. These data sets are in .csv format.
