A raster dataset representing conifer cover within the Western United States. This dataset was made reclassifying the LANDFIRE 1.3 EVT layer into "Conifer-dominated Ecological Systems with Little to No Sagebrush", and "Conifer-dominated Ecological Systems Likely to Expand into Sagebrush".

A raster dataset of the percent of tilled agriculture within a 5km radius moving window. This dataset was made by reclassifying the 2014 National Agricultural Statistics Service Cropland Datalayer into to include values of only tilled agriculture, then conductding a moving window analysis on the resulting raster to provide a dataset depicting amount of tilled agriculture within a 5km radius of each 30m pixel. This data was published July 2016.

A raster dataset of the percent of precipitation that falls during summer (July-September). This dataset was made by dividing the 30-year Normal summer (July - September) precipitation value by the 30-year Normal Annual precipitation value. Data is provided at a 900m resolution. This data was published July 2016.

A raster dataset representing the resilience and resistance classes combined with greater sage-grouse breeding habitat probabilities. It was created to represent greater sage-grouse breeding habitat probabilities within each resilience and resistance class. It was created to be incorporated into a larger landscape scale geospatial data modeling effort, the Conservation and Restoration Strategy. The R&R and the GRSG Breeding Habitat Probability raster were incorporated; the resulting raster contained 12 values: 26 - Unsuitable Probability and High R&R 27 - Unsuitable Probability and Moderate R&R 28 - Unsuitable Probability and Low R&R 51 - Low Probability and High R&R 52 - Low Probability and Moderate R&R 53...

A raster dataset representing sagebrush cover within the Western United States. This dataset was made reclassifying the LANDFIRE 1.3 EVT layer into "Sagebrush-dominated Ecological Systems", and "Grass-dominated Ecological Systems with Sagebrush Components". This data was published July 2016.

A raster dataset of the percent of developed land within a 5km radius moving window. This dataset was made by reclassifying the 2011 National Landcover Dataset Percent Impervioussness Layer into to include values of only developed land, then conducting a moving window analysis on the resulting raster to provide a dataset depicting percent of developed land within a 5km radius of each grid cell. This data was published July 2016.

A raster dataset representing the probability of the surrounding landscape (6.4km radius) supporting a greater sage-grouse lek. This dataset was made by mosaicking the probability of GRSG habitat layers (citation) and classifying them into unsuitable (0.01-0.25), low (0.25-0.50), moderate (0.50-0.65), and high (0.65-1.0) probabilities of the landscape supporting a lek. The publication date of this data is July 2016.

The Klamath Basin in Oregon and California is home to a rich abundance of natural and cultural resources, many of which are vulnerable to present and future climate change. Climate change also threatens traditional ways of life for tribal communities, who have deep connections to the region. This project sought to increase the effectiveness of regional climate change adaptation and planning by (1) developing ways to integrate traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) with western science in decision making, (2) building partnerships between tribal, academic, and government institutions, and (3) increasing future capacity to respond to climate change by engaging tribal youth. Through this project, the Quartz Valley...

Drainage basin areas for 376 USGS streamgages in West Virginia and adjacent states were delineated digitally. The USGS Watershed Boundary Dataset HUC12 sub-watershed lines were used as outer limits of basins, and heads-up digitizing was used to delineate boundaries from the stream gage to the HUC12 boundary. The USGS National Map was used, as background, to show both contour lines and digital elevation to highlight drainage basin divides, ridges, and valleys. Basins were delineated for (1) all active continuous-flow and crest-stage streamgages, in West Virginia, through water year 2020, (2) selected inactive streamgages, in West Virginia and adjacent states, that were used in the flood-frequency report prepared...

A raster dataset of the 30-year normal, annual precipitation values. To represent the amount of annual precipitation that falls within the western United States. It was created to be incorporated into a larger landscape scale geospatial data modeling effort, the Conservation and Restoration Strategy This data was published July 2016.

A raster dataset of the 30-year normal, annual temperature values. To represent annual temperature values within the western United States. It was created to be incorporated into a larger landscape scale geospatial data modeling effort, the Conservation and Restoration Strategy. This data was published July 2016.

A raster dataset of the percent of grass-dominated ecological systems with sagebrush components within a 5km radius moving window. This dataset was made by reclassifying the Sagebrush Cover raster into values of only grass-dominated ecological systems with sagebrush components, and then running a moving window analysis on that raster.

A raster dataset representing road density within the Western United States. This dataset was made combining the BLM GRSG Westwide Habitat Disturbance Threats of Surface Streets, Major Roads, and Highways. The density metric of the raster is kilometers of roads per square kilometer within a 5km radius multiplied by 10000. The purpose is to represent road density within the Western United States. It was created to be incorporated into a larger landscape scale geospatial data modeling effort, the Conservation and Restoration Strategy.
