This data set represents the extent, approximate location and type of wetlands and deepwater habitats in the United States and its Territories. These data delineate the areal extent of wetlands and surface waters as defined by Cowardin et al. (1979). Certain wetland habitats are excluded from the National mapping program because of the limitations of aerial imagery as the primary data source used to detect wetlands. These habitats include seagrasses or submerged aquatic vegetation that are found in the intertidal and subtidal zones of estuaries and near shore coastal waters. In 1991, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) began a study of more than 50 major river basins across the Nation as part of the National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) project of the National Water-Quality Program. The Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US) is a geodatabase, managed by USGS GAP, that illustrates and describes public land ownership, management and other conservation lands, including voluntarily provided privately protected areas. The geodatabase contains four feature classes such as, Marine Protected Areas (MPA) and Easements that each contains uniquely associated attributes. These two feature classes are combined with the PAD-US Fee feature class to provide a full inventory of protected areas in a common schema (i.e. Combined file). About 280 kilometers of multichannel (common-depth-point) seismic reflection profiles were obtained in the central Mississippi River Valley by Geophysical Service Inc. and Western Geophysical Company under contracts with the U.S. Geological Survey. The specific area of the profiles is southeastern Missouri, northeastern Arkansas, and northwestern Tennessee. Geologically, the area is located in the northern part of the Mississippi Embayment.

The .csv table is part of a dataset package that was compiled for use as mineral assessment guidance in the Sagebrush Mineral-Resource Assessment project (SaMiRA). Mineral potential maps from previous mineral-resource assessments which included areas of the SaMiRA project areas were georeferenced. From May of 2015 through September of 2018, water-quality data were collected at 178 locations and velocity data were collected along 7 transects from select tributaries, embayments, and nearshore lake locations along New York's Lake Ontario waterfront in support of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Lakewide Action Management Plan. These data include: depth, velocity magnitude, velocity direction, navigational data, ADCP temperature, and channel profile.
