Text files: These data are text files of GNSS survey points collected along a trace of the West Napa Fault Zone near Ehlers Lane north of St. Helena, California. Data were collected to aid in paleoseismic investigation of the suspected fault strand and to characterize local geomorphology. Data were collected on March 31, and August 1, 2017 using a Leica Viva GS15 survey-grade GNSS receiver. The data are delivered as positions in the NAD83 UTM zone 10N coordinate system with orthometric heights according to Geoid 12B. LAZ files: These data are point clouds from terrestrial lidar data collected along a trace of the West Napa Fault Zone near Ehlers Lane north of St. Helena, California. Data were collected to aid in...

This dataset shows land cover in the Upper Oconee watershed. The data layer primarily uses the 2011 National Land Cover Database (NLCD) but was manually edited to include 2,219 additional reservoirs. The reservoirs were identified and digitized using 2010 National Aerial Imagery Program (NAIP) imagery.

The Change, Aftereffect, Trend (CAT) transform is a multitemporal visualization of change on a landscape. Based on MODIS 16- day 250m Normalized Vegetation Index time series covering the Crown of the Continent from 2000-2010, the CAT transform captures both long- and short-term change over the time series, and produces a visually striking false colour visualization of landscape dynamics.MODIS data used in this transform is courtesy of the NASA EOSDIS Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC), USGS/Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, Sioux Falls, South DakotaThe methods used to build this transform as well as a discussion of the results are published here:Hird, J. N., Castilla,...
The USGS, in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, surveyed the bathymetry within an area of about 500 acres of American Falls Reservoir between River Miles 713 and 714 during the week of August 6-8, 2019. The bathymetric survey provided high resolution detail of a proposed treatment area for an aeration system that is being developed to support water quality during the American Falls spillway concrete repair project and possibly thereafter. The Water Quality Restoration Plan detailing this effort is an appendix of the of the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) in conjunction with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance process.

The Louisiana State Legislature created Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) in order to conserve, restore, create and enhance Louisiana's coastal wetlands. The wetland restoration plans developed pursuant to these acts specifically require an evaluation of the effectiveness of each coastal wetlands restoration project in achieving long-term solutions to arresting coastal wetlands loss. This data set includes mosaicked aerial photographs for the Lake Chapeau Sediment Input and Hydrologic Restoration, Point Au Fer Island (TE-26) project for 2016. This data is used as a basemap land/water classification. It also serves as a visual tool for project managers to help them identify any obvious...

Since its inception, the Everglades Depth Estimation Network (EDEN) has used the High Accuracy Elevation Dataset (HAED) digital elevation model (DEM) to provide scientists and managers with continuous water depth surfaces, derived from interpolated water stage, on a 400 X 400 meter grid. A new, high resolution LiDAR-based DEM is available through a collaboration between Everglades National Park (ENP) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 3D Elevation Program (3DEP). This new DEM covers the southern part of the EDEN extent, including a large area of ENP and a portion of southeast Big Cypress National Preserve. It is provided at a resolution of 0.5 meters but contains data voids in surface water areas where the LiDAR...

HCAs were identified based on models described by the WHCWG (2010; pages 37-38 and Appendix A). Ten focal species HCAs from WHCWG (2010) were combined into a single raster for this project. The source focal species were: western toad, northern flying squirrel, wolverine, Canada lynx, American marten, mountain goat, American black bear, elk, mule deer, and bighorn sheep.
This cost-weighted distance (CWD) raster was developed from a generalized shrub-steppe and grassland (SSGL) species guild resistance model based on 20th percentile of resistance values for the five statewide analysis (WHCWG 2010) focal species in this biome, including sage-grouse, black-tailed jackrabbit, white-tailed jackrabbit, badger, and sharp-tailed grouse.

These raster files showing wetland areas that were ponded during Rainwater Basin Wetland Complex Annual Habitat Survey. Annual Habitat Surveys (AHS) identify areas of wetland ponding and function (ponding and potential hydrophyte vegetation) during spring migration. The information is developed by Rainwater Basin Joint Venture to identifying how much habitat the Rainwater Basin Wetland Complex provides to migratory waterfowl on an annual basis. AHS have been completed for 2004 and 2006-2020 where high-resolution aerial photos of the Rainwater Basin Wetland Complex are classified using an image object classification software to determine land cover (hydrophyte water, agriculture water, hydrophytes, agriculture, or...

The landscape permeability model represents the structural connectivity of sagebrush ecosystem habitat in the Green River Basin (including ~5-10 km boundary outside of the GRB. This model connects patches of habitat, across the landscape using resistances that represent the degree of human modification and slope (energetic costs), using the Multi-Scale Landscape Permeability model (Theobald et al. 2012; Theobald unpublished). We used two metrics: (a) patch importance and (b) betweeness centrality amongst patches. These metrics were summarized for each HUC12. This dataset represents the vulnerability of sagebrush ecosystem permeability to human modification summarized for each HUC12 watershed within the Green River...
This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Bluefield 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in West Virginia and Virginia. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from different acquisitions published between 2020 and 2022. The data were processed using geographic information systems (GIS) software. The data is projected in WGS 1984 Web Mercator. This representation illustrates the terrain as a hillshade with contrast adjusted to highlight local relief according to a topographic position index (TPI) calculation.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Harris‐Galveston Subsidence District, City of Houston, Fort Bend Subsidence District, Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District, and Brazoria County Groundwater Conservation District produced this dataset of groundwater‐level altitudes and groundwater‐level altitude changes in the Chicot and Evangeline aquifers (undifferentiated), and Jasper aquifer in the greater Houston area, Texas. This dataset shows current‐year (2023) groundwater‐level altitudes for each aquifer as well as 1–year (2022–23), and 5‐year (2018–23) groundwater‐level changes for each aquifer, long‐term (1990–2023 and 1977–2023) groundwater‐level changes for the Chicot and Evangeline aquifers...

Images of subsurface electrical conductivity are useful for locating fluids and other electrically conductive phases at depth in the Earth. This data release presents electrical conductance maps estimated from a 3D model of the Great Basin, USA, at five different depth ranges, spanning 2 to 200 km depth. Electrical conductance is the integration of electrical conductivity in a depth range. Great Basin electrical conductivity is estimated through 3D inverse modeling of over 800 publicly available magnetotelluric (MT) transfer functions. The transfer functions can be found on the electromagnetic transfer function repository hosted by the Incorporated Research Institutions of Seismology (IRIS) data management center...
