The Central Platte River Image Library is an extensive dataset of historic 1860's surveys by the Government Land Office and aerial photographs from 1938-2012. All datasets are either public domain property of the U.S. Government or published by the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture (RWBJV) with permission from the respective owner (specifically the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program or Central Platte Natural Resources District). The Central Platte River region of Nebraska extends from approximately Jeffery Reservoir (Western Extent) to Columbus (Eastern Extent). The library was completed May 2014 - Sept 2016 by the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture.

This dataset contains absolute-gravity data collected by the USGS Southwest Gravity Program, a collaborative effort of the Arizona, California, and New Mexico Water Science Centers to monitor and model groundwater-storage change. Data were collected following the methods in "Procedures for Field Data Collection, Processing, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, and Archiving of Relative and Absolute-Gravity Surveys", U.S. Geological Survey Techniques and Methods book 2, chapter D4 . All data are reviewed and approved. This layer provides information on putative winter corridors facilitating dispersal from northern populations to patches capable of supporting Canada lynx in the Northern Rocky Mountains. These results combine resource selection, step selection, and least-cost path models to define movement corridors for lynx in the Northern Rocky Mountains. Ground-based discrete snowpack measurements were collected during winter field campaigns starting in 2020. These data were collected as part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS) Upper Colorado River Basin project focusing on the relation between snow dynamics and water resources. This data release consists of three child items. Each child item contains snow depth, snow density, snow temperature, or snow water equivalent values measured discretely in the field. The data are provided in comma separated value (CSV) files.

This dataset represents lineaments in the Powder River Basin as identified in the following publication: Anna, L.O., 1986, Geologic framework of the ground water system in Jurassic and Cretaceous rocks on the Northern Great Plains, in parts of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming: U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1402-B, 36 p. Structural features were transferred from the publication to a hard-copy base map by province geologist, then digitized and referenced for use in a Geographic Information System (GIS).
