The Midwest Glacial Lakes Partnership (MGLP), a Fish Habitat Partnership (FHP) recognized by the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHAP) Board in March 2009, has been developing a dataset for the Midwest glacial lakes, equivalent to the NHD, since 2008. This project will complete development of a standardized lakeshed dataset that identifies the geographic extent of each lake, its local catchment, and tributary catchment.
The South Atlantic Conservation Blueprint is a living spatial plan to conserve natural and cultural resources for future generations. It identifies shared conservation priorities across the South Atlantic region. The first Blueprint, Version 1.0, was released in March 2014. Blueprint 1.0 was based on a combination of expert input and partner plans and used a spatial scale of HUC-12 subwatersheds in the terrestrial environment and outer continental shelf lease blocks in the marine environment. More than 300 people from 85 organizations were actively involved in developing this version of the Blueprint.

A recent (2008-2012) outbreak of Geometrid moths has decimated subsistence berry harvest in South Central Alaska. This project will develop a risk model to predict where subsistence berry plants will be most resistant to Geometrid attack. The model will be used to identify areas where berry improvement silvicultural treatments are most likely to be successful.

The Circumboreal Vegetation Mapping (CBVM) group is a group of vegetation scientists within the Arctic Council’s CAFF Program devoted to mapping the vegetation of the entire circumboreal region. The aim of the CBVM project is to produce a vegetation map with geobotanical database and derived products for the entire boreal biome using a unified, international method for classifying and mapping boreal vegetation. The most comprehensive historical aerial imagery of Alaska available to the public was collected as partof the Alaska High-Altitude Aerial Photography Program (AHAP) during 1978-1986. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta (YKD) encompasses the southernmost, warmest parts of the arctic tundra biome and is renowned for its high biological productivity and large subsistence-based human population. Ice-rich permafrost currently is widespread and strongly influences terrestrial and aquatic habitats, including local topography, vegetation, soil hydrology, and the water balance of lakes. The Southeast Conservation Blueprint is a map of important areas for conservation and restoration across the Southeast and Caribbean. The Blueprint categories represent the level of value—high or medium—of healthy natural resources and their potential to benefit fish, wildlife and plants. The Blueprint the primary product of the Southeast Conservation Adaptation Strategy (SECAS).
