This data release contains phytoplankton data and vertical profile measurements of water quality and light in oligotrophic (low nutrient) lakes within the Adirondack Park, New York State. Data were collected between June and October 2021 at five lakes. Four lake locations (Nearshore, Open Water, Layer, Bloom) were sampled representing one of four sample types (Bottom Sediment, Surface Water, Bloom Material, Layer). Water-quality field parameters (water temperature, dissolved-oxygen concentration and percent saturation, pH, specific conductance, turbidity, chlorophyll fluorescence, phycocyanin fluorescence, and fluorescent dissolved organic material) were measured at each sampling location from the surface to the...

This data release contains continuous (15-minute interval) turbidity data from the upper Esopus Creek Watershed in the Catskill Mountain Region of New York State. The upper Esopus watershed drains to the Ashokan Reservoir, part of the New York City (NYC) drinking water supply system. Turbidity is a primary water-quality concern in the NYC water-supply system, particularly in the upper Esopus Creek watershed.
This data release contains digital hydrogeologic datasets compiled for eight valley-fill aquifer systems in upstate New York. The data sets include input data necessary to create and interpolate the hydrogeologic framework of the aquifers and surrounding till-covered uplands. Input data is provided as point feature classes and georeferenced files of previously published reports along with the digitized data as line or polygon feature classes. Feature class datasets are provided for convenience and may contain subtle differences to shapefiles due to inherent differences in file types. The data release is composed of eight child items, one for each valley-fill area. Each child item contains the data pertaining...
