These feature data are part of a larger dataset containing shapefiles and associated metadata for lava flows erupted at Kilauea volcano from ca. 1790 through 1982. The complete dataset includes all known subaerial eruptions in the volcano's Southwest Rift Zone and East Rift Zone, and selected flows erupted within the summit caldera, during this time period. Two attributed shapefiles are associated with each eruption: a polyline shapefile for the lava flow contacts and eruptive fissures, and a polygon shapefile showing the full extent of the lava flow after emplacement. This polygon shapefile includes selected delineated subbasins (watersheds) of streams within the upper Umatilla River Basin, Oregon. These subbasins, referred to by the name of their stream gages, are 1.) Umatilla River above Meacham Creek, near Gibbon, Oregon, 2.) Meacham Creek at Gibbon, Oregon, 3.) Isqu'ulktpe Creek near Gibbon, Oregon, 4.) Moonshine Creek near Mission, Oregon, 5.) Cottonwood Creek near Mission, Oregon, 6.) McKay Creek near Pilot Rock, Oregon, 7.) Wildhorse Creek at Pendleton, Oregon, and 8.) Patawa Creek at West Boundary near Pendleton, Oregon. These data were used to analyze precipitation and groundwater recharge in each subbasin.

This data release provides principal facts for 1080 new gravity stations that were acquired to supplement existing public gravity data coverage. This dataset consists of 16 repeated magnetotelluric (MT) stations collected on Mount Tongariro, New Zealand, before (2009) and after (2013) the 2012 eruption. The data were collected in same locations with similiar instruments. Preeruption and posteruption electromagnetic magnetotelluric measurements determine variation in subsurface electrical properties resulting from changes in magmatic system associated with the 2012 eruptive cycle.

This dataset consists of contours showing the generalized saturated thickness of the shallow groundwater system in the Lower Gunnison River Basin in Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Gunnison Counties, Colorado. Saturated thickness was contoured from values in the raster dataset satthk. The U.S. Geological Survey prepared this dataset in cooperation with the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

SPACE USE INDEX CALCULATION Lek coordinates and associated trend count data were obtained from the 2013 Nevada Sage-grouse Lek Database compiled by the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW, S. Espinosa, 9/10/2013). We queried the database for leks with a ‘LEKSTATUS’ field classified as ‘Active’ or ‘Pending’. Active leks comprised leks with breeding males observed within the last 5 years. Pending leks comprised leks without consistent breeding activity during the prior 3 – 5 surveys or had not been surveyed during the past 5 years; these leks typically trended towards ‘inactive’. MPB_AB_5kmBuffer_2000.shp: Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) disturbance in the Alberta portion of the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem from 2001 to 2007. This layer is a compilation from multiple sources.These data are used to help focus ground survey work and are not 100% accurate. 2. Water-level measurements of wells were taken in the Upper Floridan aquifer between the dates of May 2 and June 23, 2010. A GIS shapefile of these water-level measurements was constructed and released as part of a prior USGS publication (Kinnaman and Dixon, 2011). This ArcGIS layer was updated in August 2014 to include salinity-based density corrections to water levels in those areas of south Florida where water in the subject aquifer is not fresh. The density corrections to water levels result in the portrayal of the “equivalent freshwater head” values in brackish and saline areas of the Upper Floridan aquifer where water quality data were available.

This release provides the data for a comprehensive survey of geologic structures in the eastern Española Basin of the Rio Grande rift, New Mexico. The release includes data and analyses from 53 individual fault zones and 22 other brittle structures, such as breccia zones, joints, and veins, investigated at a total of just over 100 sites. Structures were examined and compared from poorly lithified Tertiary sediments, as well as Paleozoic sedimentary and Proterozoic crystalline rocks.
