Bathymetric survey data of the Brandon Road Dam spillway was collected on May 27 and May 28, 2015 by the US Geological Survey (USGS) using Trimble Real-Time Kinematic Global Positioning System (RTK-GPS) equipment. The base station was set up over a temporarily installed survey pin on both days. This pin was surveyed into an existing NGS benchmark (PID: BBCN12) within the Brandon Road Lock property. In wadeable sections, a GPS rover with 2.0 meter range pole and flat-foot was deployed. In sections unable to be waded, a 2.0 meter range pole was fix-mounted to a jon boat, and a boat-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) was used to collect the depth data. In March 2024, the U.S. Geological Survey New Mexico Water Science Center (NMWSC) and Idaho Water Science Center (IDWSC), in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), completed bathymetric and topographic surveys on the San Juan River near Farmington, NM at the USBR Navajo Gallup Water Supply Project (NGWSP) intake and outfall structure. The bathymetric and topographic data provide coverage near the structures and banklines for an 800-foot length of the San Juan River. This data release contains an integrated bathymetric and topographic point cloud dataset and an interpolated DEM.

This dataset describes irrigation water use in Kansas in 2015. Volumes of water used, irrigated area, and average irrigation application depths are provided for three sets of subareas: (1) Irrigation water use analysis regions that include Groundwater Management Districts (GMDs) with the areas outside of GMDs divided into eastern, central, and western Kansas; (2) Regional Planning Areas (RPAs), which are 14 areas determined by the Kansas Water Office based on hydrologic and administrative boundaries, each with a set of goals outlined in the Kansas Water Vision (https://kwo.ks.gov/water-plan/water-vision); and (3) the 105 Kansas counties. This data release contains monthly 270-meter resolution Basin Characterization Model (BCMv8) climate and hydrologic variables for Localized Constructed Analog (LOCA; Pierce et al., 2014)-downscaled Global Climate Models (GCMs) for Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 (medium-low emissions) and 8.5 (high emissions) for hydrologic California. The 20 future climate scenarios consist of ten GCMs with RCP 4.5 and 8.5 each: ACCESS 1.0, CanESM2, CCSM4, CESM1-BGC, CMCC-CMS, CNRM-CM5, GFDL-CM3, HadGEM2-CC, HadGEM2-ES, and MIROC5. These data are derived from measurements of actual ET conducted at a height of 73 meters on the University of Central Florida WUCF 89.9 radio tower. The station is located at a nearly flat site (28 degrees 35 minutes 27 seconds North / 081 degrees 12 minutes 17 seconds West) within Orange County, Florida. This data release contains inputs for and outputs from hydrologic simulations of the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin (ACFB) in the southeastern U.S. using the Precipitation Runoff Modeling System (PRMS). Seven hydrologic models, one coarse-resolution model for the entire ACFB and six fine-resolution models of tributary sub-basins. Smelter slag containing copper and other trace elements is widespread in riverbed sediment of the upper Columbia River (UCR) of the United States. To evaluate potential risk to aquatic life concentrations of copper and other trace elements were measured in shallow pore-water and in river water samples collected near the sediment-water interface. In August 2015, water velocities around a fully-loaded commercial barge tow were measured as the barge tow traveled upstream through the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal from a starting position in Lockport Pool, and passed through the Electric Dispersal Barrier System at river mile (RM) 296 near Romeoville, IL. Statistical analyses and maps representing mean, high, and low water-level conditions in the surface water and groundwater of Miami-Dade County were made by the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, to help inform decisions necessary for urban planning and development. Human-associated indicator bacteria and human specific viruses in the Menomonee River watershed in Milwaukee, WI were investigated from April 2009 to March 2011 at six sampling locations within the watershed using genetic markers to assess the amount of waterborne pathogen contamination. We used concentration and water volume data from runoff-event and low-flow periods to compute human virus and indicator bacteria loads for each sample collected. Loads were then used, along with drainage area from each defined sub-watershed, to compute yield contributions of human-associated bacteria and human specific viruses for each of the six sub-watersheds studied in the Menomonee River watershed.
