This data release is the update of the U.S. Geological Survey - ScienceBase data release by Bera (2021), with the processed data through September 30, 2021. The primary data for water year 2021 (a water year is the 12-month period, October 1 through September 30, in which it ends) is downloaded from the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) (Argonne National Laboratory, 2022) and is processed following the guidelines documented in Over and others (2010). This dataset includes Last Snow Date(lsdy) for northern Alaska in GeoTiff format, covering the years 1980-2012. Last Snow Date is defined as day of last snow occurrence during the year(day of year). The dataset was generated by the Arctic LCC SNOWDATA: Snow Datasets for Arctic Terrestrial Applications project.“Day-of-year” (doy) output is expressed in Ordinal dates (“1” on 1 January, and “365” on 31 December). Dates have not been corrected for leap years. This output is appropriate for display purposes, as it is readily interpreted as calendar day of year. This dataset represents results from this study attributed to the NHDPlus V2 catchments. Changes in climate occurring throughout the Mississippi River Basin are expected to lead to additional impacts in stream habitats and fish assemblages in multiple ways, including changing changing thermal properties and flow regimes. To manage streams for current impacts and future changes, managers need region-wide information for decision-making and developing proactive management strategies. This data release contains model inputs used to estimate surface water greenhouse gas fluxes from two large arid reservoirs, Lake Powell and Lake Mead. The release also contains empirical, spatially explicit water quality and greenhouse gas data from a single field survey conducted in Lake Powell in July of 2017. Finally, this release contains surface area estimates of shallow (< 15m) tributary regions of Lake Powell under different water level scenarios.

This digital dataset contains the Central Tendency (CT) climate scenario data used for the Salinas and Carmel Rivers Basin Study (SCRBS). The Central Tendency (CT) climate scenario is based on the 50th percentile change in precipitation, 50th percentile change in temperature. The files included in this child item are the daily 270-meter gridded spatially distributed daily precipitation (PPT), maximum and minimum air temperature (TMX and TMN, respectively), and potential evapotranspiration (PET) from 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2100.

A meteorological station equipped with a rain gauge, atmospheric pressure sensor, temperature and relative humidity sensor, soil moisture sensor, and an anemometer (measuring wind speed, gust speed, and direction) was deployed at a cinder field in Sunset Crater National Monument, Arizona. These data are records collected from six automated weather stations in operation between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015 within the Colorado River Corridor of Grand Canyon National Park and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Data collection locations, equipment configurations and methods follow those of the original report (OFR 2014-1247). These files are 4-minute interval data for each of the automated weather stations, tab separated by parameter (wind direction, wind speed, wind gusts, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and rainfall). The following spreadsheets contain pressure and temperature recorded by the barologgers (atmospheric measure) and leveloggers (stream measure) at each stream gauge. Temperature and pressure from stream gauges are needed to calculate discharge, which was in turn needed to calibrate the hydrologic model used in this project.

The Monthly Projected Air Temperature (TAIR) data sets are part of the downscaled global climate models created for the 2008 California climate change assessment. These files are made from daily data and are monthly mean values in degrees Celsius. TAIR layers have been created through a Bias Corrected Statistical Downscaling (BCSD) approach and are currently available for the cnrmcm3, gfdlcm21, ncarccsm3, and ncarpcm1 models under the A2 and B1 scenarios. The BCSD data cover 31.9375N to 43.9375N and 124.5625W to 113.0625W. The VIC grid is a 1/8th degree grid so this makes a "box" of 93 longitudes by 97 latitudes.
