This dataset includes transcripts from three individual interviews conducted remotely in the summer of 2021. The interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview protocol largely centered around the review of a survey developed to measure use of climate adaptation science. Participants had each taken the survey within 3 months of these follow-up interviews and were asked to reflect on their understandings of the questions and decisions made to answer each question. The first author conducted all of the interviews via video-conference, including creating and transcribing audio recordings of each interview.
This dataset consists of responses to a standardized, web-based survey of project principle investigators, end-users, and SE CASC leadership. 31 project PIs responded (97% response rate). We then surveyed potential users of the 28 remaining projects using Qualtrics and SE CASC leadership to garner information about project use. Potential users included employees from federal agencies, state agencies, universities, and nongovernmental organizations. From the 28 projects, we sent surveys to 208 users, of which, 81 responded (39% response rate) from 22 projects. We did not collect any personal demographic information, so we did not conduct a nonresponse bias. Specifically, we asked respondents how they and their respective...
This dataset includes transcripts and notes from individual and group interviews conducted at a science conference in 2019. The interviews were conducted using a shared semi-structured interview protocol and participants spoke from their experience as end-users of climate adaptation science. Multiple researchers served as interviewers and note-takers. The first author synthesized all of the data from the interviews, including transcribing some audio recordings and combining multiple sources of data for some rounds of interviews.

These data include interview scripts/protocols and notes and transcripts resulting from group and individual interviews with individuals involved with the generation and application of climate adaptation science across the southeastern US. Exact audiences, topics, and data formats varied across the rounds of data collection. Text density and spacing also varies but, in total, this dataset includes over 65 pages of typed notes and transcriptions of data recorded from the interviews.
This dataset includes transcripts and notes from individual and group interviews conducted at a science conference in 2019. The interviews were conducted using a shared semi-structured interview protocol and participants spoke from their experience as producers of climate adaptation science (i.e., researchers). Multiple team researchers served as interviewers and note-takers. The first author synthesized all of the data from the interviews, including transcribing an audio recording and combining multiple sources of data for some rounds of interviews.
