This dataset consists of 16 repeated magnetotelluric (MT) stations collected on Mount Tongariro, New Zealand, before (2009) and after (2013) the 2012 eruption. The data were collected in same locations with similiar instruments. Preeruption and posteruption electromagnetic magnetotelluric measurements determine variation in subsurface electrical properties resulting from changes in magmatic system associated with the 2012 eruptive cycle.

A detailed airborne gravity gradiometry, magnetic, and radiometric survey of Mountain Pass, California was flown by CGG Canada Services Ltd. (CGG). The high-resolution helicopter survey was flown at a flight-line spacing of 100 and 200 m, a flight-line azimuth of 70 degrees, a nominal flight-line elevation above ground of 70 m, and consists of about 1,814 line-kilometers. Tie lines were spaced at a 1-km interval with a flight-line azimuth of 160 degrees. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) collected gravity data in the eastern Mojave Desert, California and Nevada as an aid to characterizing the regional geologic framework. Gravity stations were located between approximately lat 35°10’ and 35°50’ N. and long 115°05’ and 115°50’ W. and were distributed from west to east across parts of Shadow Valley, Clark Mountain Range, Mescal Range, Ivanpah Valley, Lanfair Valley, Bobcat Hills, and New York Mountains. The high-resolution helicopter survey was flown at a flightline spacing of 100 and 200 m, a flightline azimuthal direction of 70 degrees, a nominal flightline elevation above ground of 70 m, and consists of about 1,814 line-kilometers. Tie lines were spaced at a 1-km interval with a flight-line azimuthal direction of 160 degrees. On February 14, 2019, just before 2:56 am local time (Pacific Standard Time), a landslide initiated from the natural hillslopes above the City of Sausalito, California. The landslide, properly identified as a debris flow, overran a road (Sausalito Boulevard) located immediately below the landslide source area, and impacted and destroyed several residential structures. One person was located in one of the residences and survived the disaster after being transported in their home down the slope. The Trans-Pecos region of West Texas and Southern New Mexico contains a series of rare earth element (REE) enriched ~ 34-36 Ma intrusive rhyolites and syenites. One such intrusive in the Sierra Blanca Mountains, Texas, hosts the Round Top REE deposit which is one of the few REE deposits in the U.S. with an economic evaluation and is scheduled to go into production in 2025.
