This point file was derived from the community footprints for the Central Yukon REA. The points were manually edited and moved from their default position to a location that corresponded with the actual community location based on satellite imagery. The footprint feature class was produced by digitally tracing the built areas from satellite imagery. This was done to represent the actual footprints more accurately than would have been possible from the U.S. Census Bureau’s Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) files. This dataset represents the planned energy projects that were submitted to the Alaska Energy Authority Renewable Energy Fund Grant Recommendation Program. The dataset contains only projects that are in the "Planned" phase, which can be anywhere from the conceptual design and feasibility phase to nearly completed but not yet functional, and also received funding from the AEA.
This dataset was used in the Northern Great Basin Rapid Ecoregional Assessment by BLM. No changes were made to the data but the dataset selected California and clipped to the ecoregion boundary.

The Northwest Climate Science Center (NW CSC) Science Agenda outlines the overall science direction for the NW CSC in 2012-2016. It forms an integral part of the NW CSC Strategic Plan for 2012-2016 and was developed with input from cultural and natural resource managers in the Northwest.
