Please see the detail in new data release at https://doi.org/10.5066/P146RBHK Watershed Data Management (WDM) database file ARGN21.WDM is an update of ARGN20.WDM (Bera, 2021) with the processed data from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021, appended to it. The primary data were downloaded from the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) (Argonne National Laboratory, 2022) and processed following the guidelines documented in Over and others (2010). ARGN21.WDM file contains nine data series: air temperature, in degrees Fahrenheit (dsn 400), dewpoint temperature, in degrees Fahrenheit (dsn 500), wind speed, in miles per hour (dsn...

The primary source of the data is Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne National Laboratory, 2017) and is processed following the guidelines documented in Over and others (2010). Daily potential evapotranspiration (PET) in...
Note: this data release has been deprecated due to errors found in the ARGNXX.wdm file. Please see the detail in new data release at https://doi.org/10.5066/P146RBHK This text file "Solar radiation.txt" contains hourly data in Langleys and associated data-source flag from January 1, 1948, to September 30, 2016. The primary source of the data is the Argonne National Laboratory, Illinois. The data-source flag consist of a three-digit sequence in the form "xyz" that describe the origin and transformations of the data values. They indicate if the data are original or missing, the method that was used to fill the missing periods, and any other transformations of the data. Bera (2014) describes in detail an addition...

This text file "Solar radiation.txt" contains hourly data in Langleys and associated data-source flag from January 1, 1948, to September 30, 2017. The primary source of the data is Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne National Laboratory, 2017) and is processed following the guidelines documented in Over and others (2010). Missing and apparently erroneous data values were replaced with adjusted values from nearby stations used as “backup”. Temporal variations in the statistical properties of the data resulting from changes in measurement and data storage methodologies were adjusted to match the statistical properties resulting from the data collection procedures that have been in place since January 1, 1989 (Over...

The watershed data management (WDM) database SC21.WDM is updated with the processed data for the period October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2021. The precipitation data are collected from a tipping-bucket rain-gage network and the hydrologic data (stage and discharge) are collected at USGS streamflow-gaging stations in and around DuPage County, Illinois. Hourly precipitation and hydrologic data for the period October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2021, are processed following the guidelines described in Bera (2014) and Murphy and Ishii (2006) and appended to SC20.WDM and renamed as SC21.WDM. Meteorological data (wind speed, solar radiation, air temperature, dewpoint temperature, and potential evapotranspiration)...

Note: this data release has been deprecated due to errors found in the ARGNXX.wdm file. Please see the detail in new data release at https://doi.org/10.5066/P146RBHK IMPORTANT NOTE: On September 27, 2016, a formatting error in these data was discovered. This error involves extra spaces in certain lines of the .txt data files, which may cause an error in the interpretation of the data values or data-source flags when read by other software. This error has been corrected in the WY 2015 data which can be accessed from this link. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with DuPage County, Illinois, maintains a Watershed Data Management (WDM) database consisting of hourly dewpoint temperature, air temperature,...
