Forest harvest is one of the primary landscape-scale management actions affecting riparian forests of the Pacific Northwest, U.S, yet the effect of harvest on headwater steam amphibians is largely understudied. Existing information is often limited because of the difficulty separating movement and emigration processes from occupancy and abundance estimates. This dataset contains biocrust lichen and moss cover at 186 plots at Horse Heaven Hills in Washington, USA. These data were measured by Jeanne Ponzetti in 1999 and remeasured by Heather Root in 2020. In addition to the biocrust data, we include site data such as elevation, location, wildfire history, and cover classes of dominant plants, rock and soil.

The dataset includes specifics on fragments of bullets recovered from shot Belding's ground squirrels from Oregon and California. Ground squirrels were radiographed and then we used ImageJ software to count and measure the area of those bullet fragments. A subset of shot carcasses were then digested and bullet fragments were recovered. Statistical models were developed to predict either the number or mass of bullet fragments in shot ground squirrel carcasses using the radiograph estimates and the digested recovered fragment data.

Agricultural land cover in the study area for the conservation assessment of Greater Sage-grouse conducted by the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. This dataset was developed from Sagestitch, an Eastern Washington Shrubsteppe Mapping Project, several state-level Gap Analysis Program (GAP) land cover products (AZ, CA, NM, OR, and WA), National Land Cover Data (NLCD) (ND,SD,NE), and the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) Generalized Landcover (Alberta, Saskatchewan).
This dataset consists of the microsatellite genotypes, collection data, and ownership data for 1461 specimens of Bombus occidentalis. The dataset includes both recognized subspecies, Bombus occidentalis occidentalis and Bombus occidentals mckayi. The subspecies have since been elevated to species status and are currently described as Bombus occidentalis and Bombus mckayi. The specimens were collected from across the historical species range primarily between 1960 and 2020, with few specimens from earlier than 1960 and the oldest from 1904. The specimens are owned and housed by 10 different institutions, which is noted for each specimen.

Water temperature data were collected in summer 2018 and 2019. Temperature data loggers were deployed in tributary confluences and the mainstem of the lower Priest River between Priest Lake Outlet Dam and the confluence with the Pend Oreille River. Data loggers were checked every 2 to 3 weeks throughout the summer. Data for Lagrangian longitudinal thermal profiles were obtained on August 21, 2018 and August 7, 2019.

eDNA-based spatiotemporal distribution data (occupancy model format) for rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) within the Bruneau-Jarbidge Rivers Wilderness in southern Idaho and northern Nevada, USA. Data also include stream discharge and stream temperature data for each site. All data were collected between October 2015 and September 2016.
This data set contains mark-recapture information for individuals of Dicamptodon tenebrosus and Ascaphus truei marked for individual recognition. Amphibians represented in this data set were captured in 14 first-order perennial and seasonally intermittent streams in the East Fork of the South Fork of the Trask River in the northern Oregon Coast Range. Individuals are larval and mature aquatic Dicamptodon tenebrosus and larval Ascaphus truei. Of the Ascaphus truei larvae only individuals thought to be in their first summer when first captured are included (these are individuals whose knees had yet to emerge from under the anal flap or fold).

This dataset includes anticoagulant rodenticide (AR) screening results of 40 Barred Owls (Strix varia) collected in forested landscapes of Washington and Oregon from 2015-2017. From 2013-16 we deployed 3 motion-sensing cameras paired with hair (DNA)-snaring devices within each of 263 24-square kilometer primary sampling units distributed systematically across the Olympic Peninsula in northwestern Washington. The data set contains detection histories of fishers during each of 3 14-day sampling intervals at each hexagon. The dataset includes several variables sampled across burned and unburned sagebrush communities located in a ~30 square kilometer portion of the Columbia Plateau Ecoregion in eastern Washington, USA. Remote camera stations were set up in Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve from February through April 2017 to document occurrence of mesocarnivores and other wildlife.
