This geodatabase of point, line and polygon features is an effort to consolidate all of the range improvement locations on BLM-managed land in Idaho into one database. Currently, the point feature class only has range improvements from Boise District (Four Rivers, Owyhee, and Bruneau Field Offices), Twin Falls District (Shoshone, Burley and Jarbidge Field Offices) and Idaho Falls District (Salmon, Challis and Upper Snake Field Offices). This data set contains landscape-scale greater sage-grouse Preliminary Priority Habitat. A combination of Key Habitat (Sather-Blair et al., 2000; ISAC 2006; BLM 2012), important winter and breeding habitat, local priority areas (spatially identified by the local working groups, BLM, IDFG biologists), known migration movement corridors, the revised 2011PA polygons, and exclusion of modeled agricultural and timber lands were used to further refine the 2012 Preliminary Priority Habitat (PPH) boundaries. The satellite data consist of 9,253 estimated locations of 21 golden eagles (Aquila chrysaetos) that were satellite-tagged in either east-central Idaho (Salmon, Idaho) or southwestern Idaho (Snake River National Conservation Area) and tracked between 1993 and 1997 via the Argos satellite system. The raw eagle tracking data provided by Argos were filtered one time using a version of the Douglas Argos-Filter Algorithm and converted into XLS spreadsheet form. The Conservation Strategy Management Area (CSMA) is an area within which a delisted Yellowstone grizzly bear population was managed with the objective to maintain a stable to increasing population. The CSMA was formalized in the 2007 Federal Rule (72 FR 14866) which removed the Yellowstone distinct population segment from Federal protection as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. We established a Landsat-derived geospatial database of unburned islands within 2,298 fires across the Inland Northwestern US (including eastern Washington, eastern Oregon, and Idaho) from 1984-2014. The detection of unburned areas within these fires is based upon a classification tree approach that uses two pre- and post-fire Landsat image pairs (see Meddens et al 2016 for details). The data set consist of unburned patches within each fire that are two pixels or larger. The polygon (vector) shapefiles represent claim areas within Public Land Survey System (PLSS) sections aggregated by serial (claim) numbers with information about Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land and mineral use authorizations for non-energy solid minerals. The land areas specified by BLM authorizations vary in size and orientation, and may cross one or more PLSS section boundaries. For spatial consistency, the information was aggregated to the square mile PLSS section boundary and by serial numbers. The original source data from BLM Cases Recordation database (LR2000) were specific to the day they were generated (March 6, 2016) and subsequent data pulls will likely be different.

These data sets are the results of calculations of hazard curves for a grid of points with a spacing of 0.05 degrees in latitude and longitude. They represent the chance of experiencing potentially damaging ground shaking for fixed ground shaking levels that corresponds with MMI = VI. The values are obtained by averaging the probability of experiencing MMI = VI based on a peak ground acceleration value of 0.1155 g for site class D, and the probability of experiencing MMI = VI based on 1.0-second spectral acceleration value of 0.102 g for site class D. Of the 21 golden eagles satellite-tagged in Salmon, Idaho and Snake River National Conservation Area, 10 were also radio-tagged with tail-mounted very high frequency (VHF) transmitters to allow for behavioral observations between 1993 and 1994. The observed data were originally processed as a DIF file. The grizzly bear distribution boundary represents the estimated geographic extent of occupied range of the Yellowstone grizzly bear population for the period 2006-2020. The distribution boundary was delineated to provide reliable estimations of grizzly bear occupancy throughout time and for use as a monitoring tool in grizzly bear management and conservation.The boundary was delineated by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team (IGBST) using an interpolation method based on grizzly bear VHF telemetry and GPS locations as well as verified observations and signs of grizzly bears inside the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem during 2006 to 2020.
