This dataset contains TIGER roads polyline data converted to a raster dataset to be used in the Invasive Change Agent Analysis. The TIGER/Line Files are shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) that are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line File is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. Transportation for Wyoming, including interstates, state and county highways, neighborhood and connecting roads, jeep trails, and other road and trail types, developed by the US Census at 1:100,000-scale. The Wyoming Water Resources Lab has tiled this information together by 1:100,000 quadrangles for Wyoming and created an attribute table which contains a description of the primary road/trail attribute, CFCC. A subset of this dataset is also available, including only federal and state highways for simplified display purposes. In order to reduce the size of this subset, the line segments were dissolved to remove unecessary segments.

These data sets contain the attributes and indicators associated with aquatic EI and were categorized by size, landscape context, and conditionset in the Northwestern Plains Ecoregion. The data for the Aquatic EI used information from the Aquatic Threat analysis performed by the Missouri River Assesment Program (MoRAP). This roads dataset for Wyoming has been extracted from the U.S. Census TIGER/Line shapefiles (http://www.census.gov/geo/www/tiger) and is avialable here as a statewide dataset. Data for each county was merged to create the statewide dataset. Road data was then extracted from the 'edges' (attribute: roadflg, 'Y') line data by WyGISC. The Texas Conservation Action Plan's (TCAP) purpose is to provide a statewide "roadmap" for research, restoration, management, and recovery projects addressing Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) and important habitats. SGCN include terrestrial, freshwater, and marine birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fishes, plants and plant communities. The Jornada Basin Long Term Ecological Research program, in collaboration with the USDA ARS Jornada Experimental Range, studies the causes and consequences of desertification: the broad scale expansion of woody plants into grasslands that results in more "desert like" conditions.
