These data show the results of for Nitrate monitoring in Florida Springs for 2018. Water Quality in Florida Springs is an ecological indicator for the Landscape Conservation Project for Florida. The project entails large-scale assessment of and planning for the health of important natural resources in Florida, known as Conservation Assets (CAs). Conservation planning at the landscape scale provides a framework for safeguarding functional ecosystems, and their interconnected processes necessary to achieve true preservation of healthy resources. Spatially explicit data from the project informs prioritization and coordination for conservation decision-making. A suite of ecological indicators was carefully selected...

Ecologically Sensitive Areas are shallow areas where submerged aquatic vegetation such as eel grass, is found. These areas provide shelter and feeding grounds for numerous fish and wildlife, including shellfish, crabs, fish and shorebirds.

Bottomlands of large rivers within the Mississippi River Basin. Derived by combining the Mississippi alluvial plain with natural floodplains created by the Scientific Assessment and Strategy Team for the Upper Mississippi, and statewide floodplain coverages where available. While the Mississippi alluvial plain is not entirely bottomland (e.g. Crowley's Ridge), excluding these non-bottomland areas from analysis would exclude opportunities to expand existing forest patches and enhance connectivity. NOTE: Floodplain coverage in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Missouri is incomplete due to incomplete data availability as of October 2016.

Monitoring shoreline change is of interest in many coastal areas because it enables quantification of land loss over time. Evolution of shoreline position is determined by the balance between erosion and accretion along the coast. In the case of salt marshes, erosion along the water boundary causes a loss of ecosystem services, such as habitat provision, carbon storage, and wave attenuation. In terms of vulnerability, higher shoreline erosion rates indicate higher vulnerability. This dataset displays shoreline change rates at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (EBFNWR), which spans over Great Bay, Little Egg Harbor, and Barnegat Bay in New Jersey, USA. Shoreline change rates are based on...

This dataset describes groundwater quality monitoring wells in the vicinity of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant in Sauk County, Wisconsin, and information associated with each unique well. This includes the values used for mapping plume boundaries, concentration trends for contaminants in each individual well, and monitoring optimization results from the Monitoring and Redediation Optimization System (MAROS) analysis.

This CSV file contains landscape factors representing anthropogenic disturbances to stream habitats summarized within 6th level Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC12) watersheds of the Watershed Boundary Dataset. The source datasets compiled and attributed to spatial units were identified as being: (1) meaningful for assessing fluvial fish habitat; (2) consistent across the entire study area in the way that they were assembled; (3) broadly representative of conditions in the past 10 years, and (4) of sufficient spatial resolution that they could be used to make valid comparisons among local catchment units. Variables summarized at the HUC12 scale include measures of anthropogenic land uses, population density, roads, dams,...

Mississippi River Basin Gridded SSURGO Hydric Classification – Presence "hydclprs". An indication of the proportion of the map unit that is hydric, based on the hydric classification of individual map unit components.

Pilot Basins are HU-4 basins where there is an alignment of ecological and production systems of interest with areas thought to be producing significant agricultural nutrient loads and possessing significant implementation interests. These provisional basins represent areas of greatest opportunity in terms of need and potential for conservation delivery. Two tiers of pilot basins were identified for version 1.02 of the Conservation Blueprint. Tier 1 pilot basins have the highest nutrient load potential and the highest amount of watershed implementation interest, while Tier 2 pilot basins have either lower load potential or lower watershed implementation interest than Tier 1 pilot basins. Implementation opportunities...

This dataset is part of the Florida Landscape Conservation project. The project seeks to better understand the trends of indicators within prioritized conservation assets (or habitats). The trends and analysis carried by the project will be used to aid in informing management and conservation actions at, both, the broader and detailed spatial scales. Further information on the FLCP, conservation asset extent, and metadata: This dataset is intended to assess trends and percent change per year (PCPY) in yearly averages of dissolved oxygen within 300 meters of coral & hardbottom. Assessments (condition) was classified depending on the following follow thresholds for PCPY: <= -1.0% - “Decreasing” > -1.0 & < 0.0% -...

This dataset provides locations and values of water quality parameters from a four-day survey conducted between August 23, 2016 and August 26, 2016 using an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) in Great South Bay, New York. Measured parameters include bottom dissolved oxygen (DO), salinity, specific conductance, water temperature, and pH. During the four day period, data was collected along 15 transects of the Great South Bay, totaling 60,480 observation points. From these point data, rasters showing the spatial distribution of bottom dissolved oxygen were generated using an interpolator in a GIS. A unique raster is provided for each day of the survey. All data files for download are available within 'Child...
