Geospatial datasets were developed to estimate the altitude of the top of bedrock, altitude of the top of the Paradox salt, altitude of the water table in the alluvial aquifer, and the thickness and extent of saturated alluvium in the Paradox Valley in western Colorado. This study was completed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Bureau of Reclamation for modeling of brine discharge to the Dolores River (Heywood and others, 2024; Paschke and others, 2024). This data release contains time series and plots summarizing mean monthly temperature and total monthly precipitation, and runoff from the U.S. Geological Survey Monthly Water Balance Model at 115 National Wildlife Refuges within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Mountain-Prairie Region (CO, KS, MT, NE, ND, SD, UT, and WY). The three variables are derived from two sets of statistically-downscaled general circulation models from 1951 through 2099. This data release contains monthly 270-meter resolution Basin Characterization Model (BCMv8) climate and hydrologic variables for Localized Constructed Analog (LOCA; Pierce et al., 2014)-downscaled Global Climate Models (GCMs) for Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 (medium-low emissions) and 8.5 (high emissions) for hydrologic California. The 20 future climate scenarios consist of ten GCMs with RCP 4.5 and 8.5 each: ACCESS 1.0, CanESM2, CCSM4, CESM1-BGC, CMCC-CMS, CNRM-CM5, GFDL-CM3, HadGEM2-CC, HadGEM2-ES, and MIROC5. Airborne geophysical surveys were acquired in March 2018 and May 25 through August 7, 2021 using a helicopter-based platform. These surveys were collected along 10,706 line-kilometers (line-km) within selected areas of the Mississippi Alluvial Plain (MAP) and the Chicot Aquifer System in the southeastern United States. Field datasets include a topobathymetric digital elevation model (DEM) for a 10-km reach of the Missouri River, repeat surveys of channel bathymetry from 2019-2021, water surface elevation profiles, velocity data collected with acoustic Dopper current profiler (ADCP). Since 1993 the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has worked with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) to provide hydraulic assessments of scour for bridges throughout Alaska. As part of this effort, repeat channel cross section surveys, or channel soundings, have been collected at either the upstream or downstream side of bridges on an annual or as needed basis. Groundwater samples collected from the Edwards aquifer in south-central Texas were analyzed for water-quality data to assess aquifer susceptibility to contaminants. Water-quality data included environmental tracers of groundwater age (tritium, tritiogenic helium-3, sulfur hexafluoride, carbon-14, and radiogenic helium-4), calibrated to lumped parameter models (LPMs). Groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells, domestic-supply wells, and public-supply wells during 2017 and 2018. This data release includes seven tables detailing these data. Mining in the Spor Mountain district began in the 1940s and continues to present day. Fluorspar, uranium, and beryllium are the main ores mined(Ege, 2005). Harmful algal blooms (HABs) have recently been observed in rivers, including the Illinois River in the Midwest United States. The Illinois River Basin has a history of eutrophication issues, primarily caused by the excessive loading of nitrogen and phosphorus from urban and agricultural sources. Recent events have seen the emergence of cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms in the area.
