This collection contains the original “raw” survey data that were recorded and transcribed by each observer during the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta (YKD) Aerial Breeding Pair Survey. Left-front and right-front seat observers recorded data on geese, swans, and cranes since 1985, while data on eiders, ducks, and waterbirds was recorded by a right-rear seat observer since 1989. These raw transcribed data should be used to produce updated quality-control (QC) datasets by running the quality assurance/quality control script “AKaerial.R” whenever the quality control procedures are revised or modified. The data herein are geochemical (from X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry), grain size (percent clay, silt, sand), lithological (loss on ignition data), bathymetric, reconstructed IVT, and radioactive isotopes (14-C, 210-Pb, 226-Ra, and 137-Cs). These data were collected from sediments from Leonard Lake, Mendocino County, California, USA starting in 2014. Together, these data provide evidence for a record of extreme precipitation going back three millennia, showing regional pluvial and drought cycles.

This data release contains time series and plots summarizing mean monthly temperature and total monthly precipitation, runoff, and streamflow from the U.S. Geological Survey Monthly Water Balance Model at 115 National Wildlife Refuges within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Mountain-Prairie Region (CO, KS, MT, NE, ND, SD, UT, and WY). The four variables are derived from two sets of statistically-downscaled general circulation models from 1951 through 2099. The three variables were summarized for comparison across four 19-year periods: historic (1951-1969), baseline (1981-1999), 2050 (2041-2059), and 2080 (2071-2089). This collection of files contains temperature data files (.ttd files) downloaded directly from Tiny Tag devices, as well exported temperature data as .csv files for each nest monitored with Tiny Tags by year. File names include Tiny Tag number, site, year, and nest ID..ttd files can be viewed using Tinytag Explorer. Note, however, that the times displayed by Tinytag Explorer are calculated when the data is displayed and depend on the daylight saving settings of the PC at that time. For example, if a .ttd file is opened before and after DST settings change, then all times displayed by Tinytag Explorer will go forward or back. Between September and November each year, nearly the entire world population of Pacific black brant (Branta bernicla nigricans) stages at Izembek Lagoon and surrounding estuaries (hereafter: Izembek Complex). Guy Atlee lived and worked in the Kingman area working the Turquoise mine (Mineral Park) and other mines near Chloride (IXL, Wrigley), Cerbat, and Kingman. He is known to have worked and traveled in the Victorville, Topock and other areas of California. Guy’s wife was Rose Atlee and they had a large family. The collection includes images of mines and workings as well as many images depicting daily life in Mohave County. The photos appear to cover a period from about the turn of the century through the 1920s.

Kelsey Boltz has been a registered mining engineer and geologist in Arizona since the mid 1960s. A 1953 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, he founded Colamer Corporation and Nuclear Dynamics, both companies active in the uranium industry in the Grants Uranium Region of New Mexico in the '50s, '60s and '70s. In 1981 he co-founded Century Capital, Inc., an investment banking and retail brokerage firm which provided several hundred million dollars financing for various industries including natural resource companies. William Crutchfield, Jr. earned his master's degree from The University of California in 1953. He began working for Santa Fe Mining, Inc. in California in the 1960s as a Mining Engineer and later as Exploration Manager. He stayed with the company until the 1980s.

This model archive contains the input data, model code, and model outputs for machine learning models that predict daily non-tidal stream salinity (specific conductance) for a network of 459 modeled stream segements across the Delaware River Basin (DRB). Results are provided for two time periods: the historical drought-of-record from 1965-10-02 to 1969-12-30, and that same drought evaluated in climatic conditions that are consistent with a LENS2 enseble climate projection from 2057-10-02 to 2061-12-30.
