This data release compiles the electron microprobe spot analyses of U, Th, and Pb concentrations in uraninite (U oxide) particles, and corresponding calculated age determinations, measured in samples of ore from two uranium-copper breccia pipe ore bodies, the Canyon (Pinyon Plain) and Hack II deposits. The U-rich samples that were analyzed typify the deposits hosted by solution-collapse breccia pipes in the Grand Canyon region of northwestern Arizona. This data release includes 40Ar/39Ar data from the U.S. Geological Survey for samples from Old Mine Park Area, Trumbull, Connecticut. Mineral samples were collected by Robert Wintsch and Harold Moritz. Potassium-bearing mineral grains were separated from the bulk sample and analyzed by argon geochronology at the U.S. Geological Survey Bascom ARgon Dating (BARD) Laboratory in Reston, Virginia. The data provide age constraints on units in the relevant geologic mapping area.

This data release is part of a 2016-2019 study on the geology, geochemistry and geochronology of ore systems in the eastern Yukon-Tanana Upland region, Alaska. Whole rock chemistry was conducted on 185 samples, mostly from Au prospects, with lesser samples from porphyry Cu prospects. Geographically, most samples are from gold prospects near the Pogo Au mine and east to Black Mountain in the Big Delta quadrangle. This dataset accompanies planned publication 'Determining fault geometry through the transport-parallel distribution of thermochronometer cooling ages'. The Ar/Ar data is for samples that record the thermal history of the area. The geochronology provides time constraints for the thermal histories studied in the manuscript. Samples were collected from Nepal, overseen by Nadine McQuarrie (University of Pittsburgh), who sent them to the USGS Denver Argon Geochronology Laboratory for Ar/Ar analysis.

This dataset includes stream temperatures from two data loggers installed at one site in the Little Blitzen River of SE Oregon as part of a redband trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss gairdnerii) study. The site was used as an undisturbed reference in comparison with similar temperature monitoring sites in the Willow-Whitehorse watershed that experienced a 2012 fire that burned nearly the entire watershed.

The product data are six statistics that were estimated for the chemical concentration of cobalt in the soil C horizon of the conterminous United States (Smith and others, 2013). The estimates are made at 9998 locations that are uniformly distributed across the conterminous United States. The six statistics are the mean for the isometric log-ratio transform of the concentrations, the equivalent mean for the concentrations, the standard deviation for the isometric log-ratio transform of the concentrations, the probability of exceeding a concentration of 24.4 milligrams per kilogram, the 0.95 quantile for the isometric log-ratio transform of the concentrations, and the equivalent 0.95 quantile for the concentrations....

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release contains data from stream water, groundwater, and soil samples collected in 2019 and 2020 in the North Quartz Creek watershed in central Colorado.
