These datasets contain microbial community data from groundwater samples collected at an in situ bioremediation site located at the former Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC), West Trenton, NJ. DNA was extracted from groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells at the NAWC study site from July 2008 through July 2015 and analyzed for microbial community structure. Sample collection coincided with a groundwater bioremediation experiment investigating the microbial degradation of the contaminant trichloroethylene (TCE) prevalent in the targeted region of the aquifer. Nutrient addition and a microbial consortium, commercially developed to stimulate the degradation of TCE and TCE byproducts, was introduced to the...

These data encompass data classified from the borehole textures. The U.S Geological Survey (USGS) classified the Well Log Database of the Central Valley, California, 2021, into Central_Valley_Borehole_with_Lithology_Classification.csv. Lithologic log descriptions served as the basis for division into discrete binary texture classifications of either “coarse grained” or “fine grained” intervals. Values of 1 (coarse grained), 0 (fine grained) or 2 (unknown) were determined using the table found in Central_Valley_Lithology_Classifier.csv. Percent Coarse values for each well log were calculated at 15.24 m for the entire Central valley (Percent_Coarse_meters_wells.csv).

This inventory was originally created by Harp and Keefer (1990) describing the landslides triggered by the M 6.7 Coalinga, California earthquake that occurred on 2 May 1983 at 23:42:38 UTC. Care should be taken when comparing with other inventories because different authors use different mapping techniques. This inventory also could be associated with other earthquakes such as aftershocks or triggered events. Please check the author methods summary and the original data source for more information on these details and to confirm the viability of this inventory for your specific use. With the exception of the data from USGS sources, the inventory data and associated metadata were not acquired by the U.S. Geological...

This inventory describes the landslides triggered by the M6.7 central Italy earthquake that occurred on 1915-01-13 at 6:52:42 UTC. The inventory comes from the Italian Catalogue of Earthquake-Induced Ground Effects (Italian acronym CEDIT) by Martino and others (2014), which contains inventories from multiple earthquakes. To obtain the most up to date version of the entire, original catalog along with more details about its compilation, please visit the CEDIT webpage on the website of the Centre for Research (CERI) of the Department of Earth Sciences in the Sapienza University of Rome: http://www.ceri.uniroma1.it/index.php/web-gis/cedit/. We conducted a lab study to explore eDNA shedding during early life history (from fertilized eggs until near yolk sac absorption) in Chinook Salmon at three biomasses: 10 eggs, 100 eggs, and 1,000 eggs, and each egg biomass was replicated (indicated as replicates 1 and 2). Water samples were collected at several time points before, during, and after hatch for detection of Chinook Salmon DNA. On days when water samples were collected, we counted the number of dead eggs and the number of viable eggs hatched (identified as larvae emerged from eggs) until hatching was completed. The dataset represents the results from testing water samples for Chinook Salmon DNA using a quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR)...

This dataset includes stable nitrogen-15 and carbon-13 isotope analysis data derived from freshwater aquatic and semi-aquatic primary producers, invertebrates, and fishes collected from five sampling sites (and one pilot site) within the Owens River Gorge, Mono and Inyo counties, CA, USA between 2017 and 2021. These sampling efforts were conducted in conjunction with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s fish population surveys and invertebrate monitoring. Fishes sampled were Owens Sucker (Catostomus fumeiventris (Miller, 1973)), hybrid Tui Chub (Siphateles bicolor snyderi (Miller, 1973) x Siphateles bicolor obesa (Girard 1856)), Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum, 1792)) and Brown Trout (Salmo...

Observations of widespread liquefaction and stratigraphic and structural relationships in a trench across an ambiguous scarp are used to constrain the timing of Holocene earthquakes on the northwest-striking Wallula fault zone in southeast Washington and Oregon. Additional observations and age constraints from OSL analysis of samples collected from large-scale liquefaction features that crosscut the Mount St Helens J tephra (13.8-13.7 ka) exposed at a nearby outcrop suggest up to 3 Holocene regional liquefaction events, any of which were likely triggered by seismic shaking sourced from either the Wallula fault and/or faults of the Yakima fold and thrust belt. Our observations provide plausible evidence supporting...

Summarization of the University of Massachusetts Landscape Ecology Lab Designing Sustainable Landscapes (DSL) datasets with the Spatial Hydro-Ecological Decision System (SHEDS) framework. These DSL data were summarized using the local and upstream total accumulation methods within SHEDS. The result are two sets of data, a continuous dataset and a discrete dataset. The continuous dataset contains the average value for the local SHEDS catchments and the area-weighted sums of the averages for the local and all upstream SHEDS catchments for all continuous variables in the DSL dataset. The discrete dataset contains the area in square meters covered by each class within all discrete variables in the DSL dataset for the...
