Potential for vegetation change on sensitive soils (consensus of 8 scenarios) for 2041 to 2050 in the Southern Rockies LCC, USA
MC2 projections of potential vegetation types for (2041 to 2050) under the CSIRO GCM scenarios.
MC2 projections of potential vegetation types for (2041 to 2050) under the CGCM3 GCM scenarios.
Potential for vegetation change on sensitive soils (CGCM3 scenarios) for 2041 to 2050 in the Southern Rockies LCC, USA.
MC2 projections of potential vegetation types for (2041 to 2050) under the MIROC3 GCM scenarios.
Data from this research are publicly accessible on databasin.org. The goals of the project included: 1) Gathering existing soils data for the region (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah)2) Filling gaps in the data to get an idea of what soil conditions might be like in un-surveyed areas3) Mapping soils that would be susceptible to disturbance, especially under drought conditions4) Producing simulations of projected future vegetation, and5) Assessing where future vegetation changes could affect the resilience of underlying soils and thus water resources.
