This dataset features inundated areas at discharges from 15,000 cfs to 100,000 cfs. The spatial extent for floodplain inundation modeling in the lower Trinity River was from Romayor, Texas, to approximately Moss Bluff, Texas. River sections were modeled using steady flow conditions. A series of raster calculations were used in a dichotomous decision-based framework to compile a per-pixel draft condition index value at a 10 m resolution for GCPO estuarine tidal marsh based on the number of configuration and condition endpoints met within each marsh pixel. The UWRM proposal represents the uplands wildlands network in the Heart of the West Proposal. Utah-Wyoming Rocky Mountains Ecoregion (UWRM) core areas and linkages shapefile. This GIS dataset provides core areas and linkages that includes all the components of a three track approach (special elements, representation, and focal species) used during the planning process. This is the result of a study contract by The Nature Conservancy to design an ecoregional plan for Northern Utah, Western Wyoming, Southeastern Idaho, Northwest Colorado and South-central Montana. The study was developed in 2001 by Reed Noss, George Wuerthner, Ken Vance-Borland, and Carlos Carroll from Conservation Science, Inc.

This is tailored towards the Arid Lands Initiative (ALI) conservation goals and objectives, and provides the foundation for adaptation to a changing climate. The Central Mojave Vegetation Map (mojveg.e00) displays vegetation and other land cover types in the eastern Mojave of California. Map labels represent alliances and groups of alliances as described by the National Vegetation Classification. The nominal minimum mapping unit is 5 hectares. Each map unit is labeled by a primary land cover type and a secondary type where applicable. In addition, the source of data for labeling each map unit is also identified in the attribute table for each map unit. Data were developed using field visits, 1:32,000 aerial photography, SPOT satellite imagery, and predictive modeling.

It represents a relative ranking of HUC12 watersheds according to the quantity and quality of habitat as described in the GCPO LCC’s draft Integrated Science Agenda (v4). The purpose of this data set is support resource allocation decisions (i.e. where to invest conservation effort) within the Gulf Coastal Plains and Ozarks Landscape Conservation Cooperative. The Condition Index ranks pixels (250-m) according to how well they meet the Desired State for the Upland Hardwood (Woodland) habitat system, which is described qualitatively and quantitatively in the GCPO LCC’s draft Integrated Science Agenda (v4). Higher values indicate sites closer to the Desired State. Value of 1 indicates areas appropriate for restoration but currently under an alternative land use (i.e. potential habitat). Standing dead trees, or snags, are an important habitat element in any forested system, and provide diurnal or seasonal shelter for many LCC priority species. The ISA landscape endpoint for snag density in upland hardwood woodland and forest systems targets one large (≥16” dbh) snag for every five acres of forest (or approximately ~0.2 large snags/acre), reflected by cavity-roosting habitat needs of the silver-haired bat (Lasionycteris noctivagans) and ample other avian, and mammalian species that require cavities in snags to carry out their life history.
