The WDM database SC17.WDM is updated with the quality-assured and quality-controlled (QA/QC) data from October 1, 2017, through September 30, 2018, and renamed as SC18.WDM. Meteorological data (wind speed, solar radiation, air temperature, dew point temperature, and potential evapotranspiration) and the three digit flags corresponding to wind speed, solar radiation, air temperature, and dew point temperature are copied from ARGN18.WDM and stored in this database. Data in dataset number (DSN) 107 and 801–810 are used in comparisons of precipitation data. DSN 107 contains hourly precipitation data collected at Argonne National Laboratory at Argonne, Illinois. DSN 801-810 contains the processed Next Generation Weather...

A suite of slate samples collected along a 2 km transect crossing the Lishan Fault in central Taiwan were evaluated to assess the role of ductile strain energy in natural graphitization at greenschist facies metamorphic conditions. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) imaging documents phyllosilicate and quartz replacement textures consistent cleavage development via dissolution-precipitation processes that increase in intensity from east to west. X-ray diffraction data reveal an east-to-west linear decrease in the full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM) values of the 004 muscovite peaks and shifts towards higher 2θ (lower d) values. Rietveld refinements required two distinct muscovite populations and muscovite microstrain...
The USGS has published United States water-use data every five years since 1950. To increase the temporal and spatial availability of water use estimates using nationally consistent methods, the USGS is developing national water-use models for each major water-use category. This data release publishes crop irrigation withdrawals for the conterminous United States (CONUS) that are calculated using modeled irrigation consumptive use (Martin and others, 2023), irrigation efficiencies, and source-water proportions (Dieter and others, 2018). Crop irrigation withdrawals and irrigation consumptive use refer to water removed and consumed, respectively, from a groundwater or surface-water source to produce agricultural crops....

Sampling was conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) at four wells, one surface water site, and five soil sampling locations near and at the Ammonium Perchlorate Rocket Motor Destruction (ARMD) facility at the Letterkenny Army Depot. Analytical results for groundwater samples collected in 2021 are provided in “ARMD_wells_data_2021.xlsx”. Analytical results for surface-water samples collected in 2021 are provided in “ARMD_sw_data_2021.xlsx”. Analytical results for soil samples collected in 2021 are provided in “ARMD_soil_data_2021.xlsx”. The data files with analytical results also include quality assurance/quality control sample results.
