The USGS, in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, surveyed the bathymetry within an area of about 500 acres of American Falls Reservoir between River Miles 713 and 714 during the week of August 6-8, 2019. The bathymetric survey provided high resolution detail of a proposed treatment area for an aeration system that is being developed to support water quality during the American Falls spillway concrete repair project and possibly thereafter. The Water Quality Restoration Plan detailing this effort is an appendix of the of the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) in conjunction with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance process.

The Louisiana State Legislature created Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) in order to conserve, restore, create and enhance Louisiana's coastal wetlands. The wetland restoration plans developed pursuant to these acts specifically require an evaluation of the effectiveness of each coastal wetlands restoration project in achieving long-term solutions to arresting coastal wetlands loss. This data set includes mosaicked aerial photographs for the Lake Chapeau Sediment Input and Hydrologic Restoration, Point Au Fer Island (TE-26) project for 2016. This data is used as a basemap land/water classification. It also serves as a visual tool for project managers to help them identify any obvious...

This USGS data release presents data collected from bathymetric and topographic surveys and the resulting digital elevation model for Little Holland Tract in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, California. During May and June of 2015, a team of scientists from the USGS Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center (PCMSC) conducted multiple surveys (USGS Field Activity 2015-642-FA) to collect topographic and bathymetric data in Little Holland Tract, located in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta between Liberty Island and the Sacramento Deep Water Ship Channel. Topographic data were collected by survey personnel on foot, and bathymetric measurements were collected using two personal watercraft (PWC). Positioning...

This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Bluefield 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in West Virginia and Virginia. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from different acquisitions published between 2020 and 2022. The data were processed using geographic information systems (GIS) software. The data is projected in WGS 1984 Web Mercator. This representation illustrates the terrain as a hillshade with contrast adjusted to highlight local relief according to a topographic position index (TPI) calculation.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Harris‐Galveston Subsidence District, City of Houston, Fort Bend Subsidence District, Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District, and Brazoria County Groundwater Conservation District produced this dataset of groundwater‐level altitudes and groundwater‐level altitude changes in the Chicot and Evangeline aquifers (undifferentiated), and Jasper aquifer in the greater Houston area, Texas. This dataset shows current‐year (2023) groundwater‐level altitudes for each aquifer as well as 1–year (2022–23), and 5‐year (2018–23) groundwater‐level changes for each aquifer, long‐term (1990–2023 and 1977–2023) groundwater‐level changes for the Chicot and Evangeline aquifers...

This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Hagerstown 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and part of West Virginia. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter resolution lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from different acquisitions published between 2016 and 2023. The data were processed using geographic information systems (GIS) software. The data is projected in WGS 1984 Web Mercator. This representation illustrates the terrain as a hillshade with contrast adjusted to highlight local relief according to a topographic position index (TPI) calculation. First release: 2012 Revised: February...

Images of subsurface electrical conductivity are useful for locating fluids and other electrically conductive phases at depth in the Earth. This data release presents electrical conductance maps estimated from a 3D model of the Great Basin, USA, at five different depth ranges, spanning 2 to 200 km depth. Electrical conductance is the integration of electrical conductivity in a depth range. Great Basin electrical conductivity is estimated through 3D inverse modeling of over 800 publicly available magnetotelluric (MT) transfer functions. The transfer functions can be found on the electromagnetic transfer function repository hosted by the Incorporated Research Institutions of Seismology (IRIS) data management center...

This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Marlinton 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in West Virginia. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter resolution lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from different acquisitions published between 2020 and 2021. The data were processed using geographic information systems (GIS) software. The data is projected in WGS 1984 Web Mercator. This representation illustrates the terrain as a hillshade with contrast adjusted to highlight local relief according to a topographic position index (TPI) calculation.
