This layer represents the lakes in the Crown of the Continent with a 50km buffer. This layer has been produced by merging the "WATERBODY_2" shapefiles from relevant NHN folders obtained from GeoBase - National Hydro Network (NHN) for Canada within the CCE and the "NHDWaterbody" shapefile for Montana, US. This dataset was developed by the Crown Managers Partnership, as part of a transboundary collaborative management initiative for the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem, based on commonly identified management priorities that are relevant at the landscape scale. This dataset contains data collected within limestone cedar glades at Stones River National Battlefield (STRI) near Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This dataset contains measurements of soil respiration at certain quadrat locations (points) within 12 selected cedar glades. Field measurements were made of soil respiration (carbon dioxide efflux) using a LICOR Infrared Gas Analyzer (IRGA), LI-6400 XT portable photosynthesis device (LICOR Inc., Lincoln, NE, USA), fitted with a soil-chamber attachment. This data release includes geochemical, x-ray diffraction mineralogical, and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) data on rocks, soils, and sediments collected near the Orange Hill and Bond Creek porphyry copper deposits, Nabesna quadrangle, Alaska. The locations of approximately 26,000 current and historical U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) surface-water monitoring gaging stations have been indexed to the NHDPlus Version 2.1 stream network. Part of the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS), these gaging stations measure water flow and water levels in streams and lakes. The NHDPlus V2 stream network locations for these gaging stations differ from stations' latitude/longitude provided in NWIS. The NWIS coordinates are frequently not coincidenet with the NHDPlus stream network.

The GIS shapefile "Census summary of southern sea otter 2016" provides a standardized tool for examining spatial patterns in abundance and demographic trends of the southern sea otter (Enhydra lutris nereis), based on data collected during the spring 2016 range-wide census. The USGS range-wide sea otter census has been undertaken twice a year since 1982, once in May and once in October, using consistent methodology involving both ground-based and aerial-based counts. SPACE USE INDEX CALCULATION Lek coordinates and associated trend count data were obtained from the 2013 Nevada Sage-grouse Lek Database compiled by the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW, S. Espinosa, 9/10/2013). We queried the database for leks with a ‘LEKSTATUS’ field classified as ‘Active’ or ‘Pending’. Active leks comprised leks with breeding males observed within the last 5 years. Pending leks comprised leks without consistent breeding activity during the prior 3 – 5 surveys or had not been surveyed during the past 5 years; these leks typically trended towards ‘inactive’.
