Stratification and general appearance of Pliocene and early Pleistocene terrace deposits, most of which have been classified as "Lafayette Formation." The strata seems to range generally from 5 to 10 feet in thickness and to be comparatively persistent and yet lenticular and theses seem to be diagnostic features; part of type exposure of Port Hudson formation at Port Hickey, probably early Pleistocene but shows same general form of stratification as Pliocene terrace deposits.
