This geologic map database is comprised of new geologic mapping, at a 1:24,000 scale, along the southern Bartlett Springs fault in the northern California Coast Ranges. The map covers an area of 258 square miles in Lake, Napa, Colusa, and Yolo counties, work was undertaken between 2016 and 2021, and supported by the USGS National Cooperative Geologic Map Program. This geodatabase contains the most up-to-date and highest resolution mapping in the region. Results and observations reported here help elucidate the geologic deformational history, as well as relationships between active older and active structures. Please consult the map pamphlet and description of map units for a detailed presentation and interpretation...

This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Beckley 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in West Virginia, Virginia and Kentucky. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter resolution lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from different acquisitions published between 2020 and 2022. The data were processed using geographic information systems (GIS) software. The data is projected in WGS 1984 Web Mercator. This representation illustrates the terrain as a hillshade with contrast adjusted to highlight local relief according to a topographic position index (TPI) calculation.

This shapefile is of prospective regional outlines of where marine minerals may occur on the Alaska Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). Polygons were hand digitized based on a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data review that considers the state of knowledge regarding marine mineral occurrences within the Alaska OCS. This data release is a companion to the USGS Professional Paper, Gartman and others, 2022. Reference Gartman, A., Mizell, K., and Kreiner, D.C., 2022, Marine minerals in Alaska — A review of coastal and deep-ocean regions: U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1870, 46 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/pp1870.

This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the State College 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in Pennsylvania. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter resolution lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from different acquisitions published between 2016 and 2019 and downloaded from the USGS National Map TNM Download. The data were processed using geographic information systems (GIS) software. The data is projected in WGS 1984 Web Mercator. This representation illustrates the terrain as a hillshade with contrast adjusted to highlight local relief according to a topographic position index (TPI) calculation.

The Spor Mountain study area is located in the Spor Mountain Range, approximately 42 miles northwest of Delta, Utah. Mining in the Spor Mountain district began in the 1940s and continues to present day. Fluorspar, uranium, and beryllium are the main ores mined(Ege, 2005). From August through September 2013, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) collected a total of 73 samples from abandoned mine wastepiles, channel sediments downslope of wastepiles, and background areas. The samples were sieved to obtain the less than 177 micron fraction. Geochemical analyses were completed through a third-party contract by General Society of Surveillance (SGS) with method ICM40B - Fifty-five major (except Si and Na), rare...

This shapefile includes strike and dip information for the area of the Stillwater Complex, located in southwestern Montana. This dataset was created from pre-existing digital strike and dip information and from digitizing strike and dip locations from georeferenced map images. The data includes information about the strike and dip locations; the geologic unit and rock type the measurement was taken on; information about the source map, such as map title and scale; and other miscellaneous information. Version 2.0 includes additional strike and dip measurements and updated locations for many points resulting from maps that were re-georeferenced using high resolution lidar. For access to the previous version of this...

Under the direction and funding of the National Cooperative Mapping Program with guidance and encouragement from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a digital database of three-dimensional (3D) vector data, displayed as two-dimensional (2D) data-extent bounding polygons. This geodatabase is to act as a virtual and digital inventory of 3D structure contour and isopach vector data for the USGS National Geologic Synthesis (NGS) team. This data will be available visually through a USGS web application and can be queried using complimentary nonspatial tables associated with each data harboring polygon. This initial publication contains 60 datasets collected directly from USGS specific publications and federal...
