Description with photo reads: 'This large stone, at the very edge of the ice, was in August, 1924, resting on two pedestals of ice over three feet high. A week after this picture was taken it had slid from its supports and was flat on the ice. It now lies amongst rubble, just a stone, with the glacier edge a hundred yards distant.'
