Located in the northern tropical Pacific Ocean, Majuro is the capital of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Majuro Atoll consists of a large, narrow landmass and a set of smaller perimeter islands surrounding a lagoon that is over 100 square miles in size. The waters surrounding the Majuro Atoll land areas are relatively shallow with poorly mapped bathymetry. However, the Pacific Ocean on the exterior of the coral atoll and the lagoon within its interior consist of deep bathymetry with steep slopes. The highest elevation of the Majuro Atoll is estimated at only 3-meters above sea level, which is the island community of Laura located on the western part of the atoll. At the eastern edge of the atoll lies the capital...

Bathymetric, topographic, and grain-size data were collected in May 2009 along a 33-mi reach of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. The study reach is located from river miles 29 to 62 at the confluence of the Colorado and Little Colorado Rivers. Channel bathymetry was mapped using multibeam and singlebeam echosounders, subaerial topography was mapped using ground-based total-stations, and bed-sediment grain-size data were collected using an underwater digital microscope system. These data were combined to produce digital elevation models, spatially variable estimates of digital elevation model uncertainty, georeferenced grain-size data, and bed-sediment distribution maps.
This is the Original Product Resolution (OPR) Digital Elevation Model (DEM)of a topobathymetric model as provided to the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC). This DEM is delivered in the original resolution, with the original spatial reference as it was provided to the NGTOC. All elevation units have been converted to meters.

Bathymetric, topographic, and grain-size data were collected in May 2012 along a 33-mi reach of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. Channel bathymetry was mapped using multibeam and singlebeam echosounders, subaerial topography was mapped using ground-based total-stations, and bed-sediment grain-size data were collected using an underwater digital microscope system. To support the modeling of the Colorado River water storage area capacity tables by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Utah Water Science Center in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah and Arizona, the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center has created an integrated 1-meter topobathymetric digital elevation model (TBDEM) for Lake Powell, the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States. Located in south-central Utah and north-central Arizona, Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River created by the flooding of a natural canyon by the construction of Glen Canyon Dam. The new Lake Powell TBDEM consists of the best available multi-source topographic and bathymetric elevation...

During autumn 2009 and winter 2010, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), conducted a hydrographic survey using a multibeam echosounder system (MBES). The survey was from river mile (RM) 130 to 142 on the Snake River, and from RM 0 to 2 on the Clearwater River areas of Lower Granite Reservoir. The survey mapped the part of the river that was accessible to the boat and the echosounder equipment, but very shallow areas along the banks that were inaccessible or too shallow to be measured with echosounder equipment were not mapped. The survey was conducted in 1-mile segments, and the data were combined to provide a continuous digital elevation dataset of the...

This DEM combines active channel topography from September 2015 structure from motion surveys, bathymetric data from August 2015 single beam surveys and overbank/floodplain topography from 2013 aerial lidar. A polygon shapefile describing the source of elevation data over the extent of the DEM is also provided.

To support the modeling of storm-induced flooding, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Coastal National Elevation Database (CoNED) Applications Project has created an integrated 1-meter topobathymetric digital elevation model (TBDEM) for the Strait of Juan de Fuca, which is located at the outlet of the Salish Sea. The international boundary between Canada and the northwestern part of the United States bisects the strait. High-resolution coastal topobathymetric data is required to identify flooding, storms, and sea-level rise inundation hazard zones and other earth science applications, such as the development of sediment transport and storm surge models. The new TBDEM consists of the best available multi-source topographic...
