Our objective was to develop a species-distribution model using habitat associations that represent probability of suitable habitat for the species historical range and the range under climate change scenarios including a hot/dry prediction (MIROC3.2) and a cool/wet prediction (ECHAM5) and 1-m and 2-m sea level rise scenarios; urban growth was also inlcuded. Future model predictions were based on extrapolated data for two time steps in the 21st century: mid (2046-2064) and late (2081-2100). Species distributions were modeled with Maxent (Maximum Entropy presence-only algorithm); climate change scenarios were based on precipitation and temperature changes as applied to stream conditions (e.g., flow) modeled with...

These tabular data sets represent monthly water balance variables as described in Wolock and McCabe (2017) for the years 1945 through 2019, compiled for the NHDPlus version 2.1 data suite (NHDPlusV2) for the conterminous United States. The variables included are: actual evapotranspiration (AET) , potential evapotranspiration (PET), precipitation (PPT), runoff (RUN) , percent of annual precipitation as snow (SNO) , snow water equivalent (SWE), snow melt (SNM), soil moisture storage (STO), and temperature (TAV). Linkage of these data with NHDPlusV2 is achieved through the common unique identifier COMID. The values are estimated both for: 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through...

The NHDPlus Version 1.0 is an integrated suite of application-ready geospatial data sets that incorporate many of the best features of the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) and the National Elevation Dataset (NED). The NHDPlus includes a stream network (based on the 1:100,000-scale NHD), improved networking, naming, and "value-added attributes" (VAA's). NHDPlus also includes elevation-derived catchments (drainage areas) produced using a drainage enforcement technique first broadly applied in New England, and thus dubbed "The New-England Method". This technique involves "burning-in" the 1:100,000-scale NHD and when available building "walls" using the national Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD). The resulting modified...

This data collection consists of a synthetic stream network and associated catchments developed as the foundation for a Spatially Referenced Regressions on Watershed Attributes (SPARROW) dissolved-solids source and transport model for the Upper Colorado River Basin (UCRB). The SPARROW model requires a hydrologically connected representation of a stream network through which loads are transported from an upstream reach to the next reach downstream (Schwarz and others, 2006; Moore and others, 2004). Each stream reach or segment within this synthetic stream network has an associated local drainage area or catchment used to calculate catchment characteristics that may have an effect on loads being modeled. The synthetic...

In 2012, catchments were generated in the Delaware River Basin for 8-digit HUCs in the areas underlain by the Marcellus Shale (all of 02040101, 02040102, 02040103, 02040104; and headwater areas of 02040106 and 02040203) based on the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Strahler first- and second-order streams. There were areas that did not have a catchment generated so another methodology needed to be used in an attempt to fill in the 'gap areas'. A 900-cell, flow accumulation raster generated for the Pennsylvania StreamStats application was used as a surrogate stream layer with the same Strahler ordering system applied to help fill in the 'gap areas'. Points were manually placed at the downstream end of the Strahler...

This tabular data set represents the percent of surficial materials compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "Digital data set describing surficial geology in the conterminous US," produced by the United States Geological Survey (Price and Clawges, 1999). Units are percent. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative...

This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "2014 Crop Land Data Layer" produced by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS, 2015). Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes...

This tabular data set represents the number and density of major National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) sites, as defined by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) number and desnity of major sites per individual reach catchments and 2) number and density of major sites accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data was acquired by James Falcone (USGS, written commun., 2010) from the EPA. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments...

This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data for the 30 year average (1961-1990) number of days of measurable precipitation per month was provided by the Environmental Protection Agency and is included with this data set (prism-wetdays-monthly.zip provided by Ryan Hill, EPA, written commun., 2012). Units are days...

The source data is the "Map database for surficial materials in the conterminous United States" produced by the United States Geological Survey (USGS, 2009). Units are percent. This tabular data set represents monthly average temperature values (Celsius) described in Wolock and McCabe (2018), compiled for the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusV2) for the conterminous United States. Linkage of the temperature data with NHDPlusV2 is achieved through the common unique identifier COMID. The temperature values are estimated both for: 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. The reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale, whereas the catchments accumulated through the river network characterize cumulative upstream conditions. The network-accumulated values are derived using two methods: 1) divergence routing...
