Municipal Sector For the purposes of the Human Factors of Water Availability project the muncipal sector includes the USGS Water Use Program categories of Public Supply and Domestic. Data that can be used to estimate water demand for the muncipal sector including water rates and demographics for the City of Denver and Mesa County, Colorado are provided here as examples. Economic Census data are included to understand the productivity of areas in the commercial sector. Water service area boundaries are useful to consider and in the future we hope to improve this type of dataset with additional metadata about service area, such as governance, or other characteristics.
