Sport fisheries season and management summaries for 2010 with preliminary information for 2011 in the Kuskokwim-Goodnews Management Area are presented. The Kuskokwim-Goodnews Management Area (KGMA) consists of all waters of the Kuskokwim River drainage, Kuskokwim Bay, and waters extending from the Naskonat Peninsula in the north to the south side of Cape Newenham in the south. Sport and subsistence fisheries target all five Pacific salmon species, as well as rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Dolly Varden (Salvelinus malma), sheefish (Stenodus leucichthys), Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus), and northern pike (Esox lucius). Estimates of fishing effort, total catch, and effort is summarized through the 2011 season. This information is provided to the Alaska Board of Fisheries (board), as well as to the general public and interested parties.
