The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is providing a polygon feature class delineating the extent of Glacial Lake Great Bend within the Binghamton East 1:24,000 quadrangle of south-central Broome County, New York, 2020. The shapefile was created and intended for use with geographic information system (GIS) software. A companion report, USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5026 (Van Hoesen and others, 2021; https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20215026) further describes data collection and map preparation.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is providing a polygon feature class containing the approximate locations and confining units of the unconfined and confined aquifers within the Binghamton East 1:24,000 quadrangle of south-central Broome County, New York, 2020. The shapefile was created and intended for use with geographic information system (GIS) software. A companion report, USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5026 (Van Hoesen and others, 2021; https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20215026) further describes data collection and map preparation.

To estimate changes in nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment loads from technologies and management practices (TMPs), the Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership's CAST model was used to run scenarios with and without TMPs for years between 1985 and 2020 for the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Scenarios were run using the native model segmentation of land-river segments and downscaled to the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) plus version 2 catchments. The land-river segment loads were disaggregated to the National Hydrography Dataset Plus, Version 2.0 using methods described in "CAST Data Input Disaggregation from County and Land-River Segment Scale to National Hydrography Dataset Plus". The estimated total nitrogen (TN), total...
The datasets provided here are the input data used to run the Seasonal Kendall Trend (SKT) tests and Weighted Regressions on Time, Discharge, and Season (WRTDS) models. SKT tests use "annualSamplingFreqs_allSites.csv" and "wqData_screenedSitesAll.csv" which includes, for all site-parameter combinations, information on annual sampling frequencies and the screened water-quality data, respectively. The WRTDS models use "DRB.wqdata.20200521.csv", "DRB.flow.20200610.zip", and "DRB.info.20200521.csv" for calibration which includes, for all site-parameter combinations, the water-quality data, streamflow data (as separate .csv files for each site), model specifications and site information, respectively. The multisource...

This child item dataset contains a shapefile of labels for hydrogeologic sections illustrated in Heisig, 2023 (figure 3, plate 1). The "Sec_ID" attribute lists letter-number designations for the ends of each section. Hydrogeologic section labels are in the format x - x'. By convention, the x is on the west side and the x' is on the east side of generally horizontal sections. In generally vertical sections, the x is the westernmost of the section ends and the x' is the eastermost end of the section line.

This dataset includes pesticides and pesticide transformation products in 15 tributaries of the Great Lakes. Pesticides were monitored using polar organic chemical integrative samplers (POCIS) to estimate concentrations in water following standard protocols (Alvarez, 2010) in June and July 2016. POCIS extracts were analyzed for 225 chemicals (USGS National Water Quality Laboratory schedule 5437, Sandstrom and others, 2016), for which 129 chemicals also have POCIS uptake rates, allowing calculations of time-weighted mean concentration over the approximately 30 day deployment (Alvarez and others, 2008). Collectively, there were 97 chemicals detected, and time-weighted mean concentrations could be calculated for 95...
Dataset containing information for white-tailed deer samples from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and New York, genotyped for 11 microsatellites markers. Marker OvirQ should not be used as it presents alleles inconsistent with reported pattern, with some alleles separated by only 1 base pair and inconsistent between runs. Projected coordinates representing sampling location are in a user-defined CRS, similar to USA Contiguous Albers Equal Area Conic: "+proj=aea +lat_1=29.3 +lat_2=45.3 +lat_0=23 +lon_0=-96 +x_0=0 +y_0=0 +ellps=GRS80 +towgs84=0,0,0,0,0,0,0 +units=m +no_defs".

New York. Iroquois shore line near Pierpont Manor in Jefferson County. The field represents a shoal near the water's edge. The finer parts of the drift have been carried away and the boulders left. Gilbert Van Ingen in the photograph. 1895.
New York. Gorge of Fall Creek at Ithaca. View downstream, with the crest of Ithaca Falls in the distance. The buttresses at the right are partly determined by joints. Circa 1895.
The data presented here are blacklegged tick nymph densities, white-tailed deer densities, and Borrelia burgdorferi (causative agent of Lyme disease) prevalences for eight national parks in the eastern United States from 2014-2022.
