Agriculture and Urban land uses were extracted from Landfire VCC and urban areas were mosaiced with TIGER roads to determine the percentage of those land uses with the riparian corridor.

These data were compiled for evaluating plant water use, or river-reach level evapotranspiration (ET) data, in the riparian corridor of the Colorado River delta as specified under Minute 319 of the 1944 Water Treaty. Additionally, these data were compiled for evaluating restoration-level data in Reach 2 and Reach 4, as specified under Minute 323 of the 1944 Water Treaty. Objectives of our study were to measure the peak growing season evapotranspiration (ET) for the average of months in summer-fall (May to October) for the seven reaches, for the full riparian corridor, and for four restoration sites, from 2013 through 2022. The seven reach areas from the Northerly International Boundary (NIB) to the end of the delta...

The riparian corridor was created based on previous maxent model completed by the Umpqua National Forest. In their methodology, NHD waterbodies and streams were buffered 100m to form the riparian corridor mask used my maxent.NHD water features (FCodes) included in the mask were:Playas, Lake/Pond, Lake/Pond: Hydrographic Category = Intermittent, Lake/Pond: Hydrographic Category = Perennial, Lake/Pond: Hydrographic Category = Intermittent; Stage = High Water Elevation, Lake/Pond: Hydrographic Category = Perennial; Stage = Average Water Elevation, Lake/Pond: Hydrographic Category = Perennial; Stage = Normal Pool, Reservoir, Reservoir: Reservoir Type = Aquaculture, Reservoir: Reservoir Type = Sewage Treatment Pond,...

These data were compiled for evaluating plant water use, or river-reach level evapotranspiration (ET) data, in the unrestored riparian corridor of the Colorado River delta as specified under Minute 319 of the 1944 Water Treaty. The entire riparian corridor can be approximated by multiplying the width of the river (or stream at ordinary high water mark) by 10 ft and adding 50 ft (NRCS). The bankfull width (as a proxy for ordinary high water mark) was correlated to the drainage area using a regional curve for the region. Drainage area was available for each reach in the National Hydrographic Dataset Plus stream attributes.
