To estimate the potential of mineral resources in the Bureau of Land Management Central Yukon Planning Area using geographic information systems (GIS) analysis of muliple statewide datasets. The six mineral deposit models are: 1) REE-Th-Y-Nb deposits associated with peralkaline to carbonatitic intrusive rocks, 2) placer and paleoplacer Au, 3) PGE (-Co-Cr-Ni-Ti-V) deposits associated with mafic-to-ultramafic intrusive rocks, 4) carbonate-hosted Cu (-Co-Ag-Ge-Ga) deposits, 5) sandstone U (-V-Cu) deposits, and 6) Sn-W-Mo (-Ta-In-fluorspar) deposits in specialized granites. GIS data layers available for analysis include sediment and rock geochemistry, pan concentrate mineralogy and geochemistry, Alaska Resource Data...

This dataset accompanies planned publication 'Paleogene mid-crustal intrusions in the Ruby Mountains Metamorphic Core Complex, northeastern Nevada' [IP-153033], to be published in Geosphere, as well as planned future publications in this region. The data encompass U-Pb zircon age and trace element data and whole-rock Pb, Sr, and Nd isotopic data from igneous and metamorphic rocks throughout the Ruby Mountains, East Humboldt Range, Lizzies Basin, Lamoille Canyon, and Angel Lake areas of northeast, Nevada. Samples were collected from this area by Allen McGrew (Univ. of Dayton), Arthur Snoke (Univ. of Wyoming), Wayne Premo (USGS) and Keith Howard (USGS), who brought them to the USGS Denver for analysis. The analyses...

This dataset is the assembled analytical results of geochemical, petrographic, and geochronologic data for samples, principally those of unmineralized Tertiary volcanic rocks, from the Tonopah, Divide, and Goldfield mining districts of west-central Nevada. Much of the data presented here for the Tonopah and Divide districts are for samples collected by Bonham and Garside (1979) during geologic mapping in and around those districts, whereas much of that for samples from the Goldfield district were obtained by Ashley (1974; 1979; 1990). Additional data were derived from samples collected between 2012–2017, as part of the U.S. Geological Survey Mineral Resources Program funded project titled: “Magmatic-tectonic history...

This dataset accompanies the proposed publication, 'Geochronology and geochemistry of igneous and metasedimentary rocks of northeast Afghanistan: A refinement of the timing and origin of crustal terranes', which focuses on refining the geochronology and geochemistry of these rocks during multiple time periods of accretion, regional metamorphism, and magmatic activity. The analyses were performed from September 2006 to August 2014.
