Tungsten is a mineral commodity critical for national security and the economy. Vein and greisen deposits host wolframite, a tungsten ore mineral that accounts for a significant portion of global mine production and resources. This data release contains updated resource information for globally distributed deposits that underpin grade and tonnage modeling efforts.
The National Hydrologic Geospatial Fabric Reference and Derived Hydrofabrics is a geospatial dataset of a network of connected rivers, lakes, and catchments used for hydrologic modeling. The dataset includes features and attributes representing hydrologic locations associated with observational data, cataloging, or reporting water data quantity or quality, and structures important to the storage and conveyance of surface water. It consists of one reference and three derived hydrofabrics designed to meet specific modeling needs with different levels of consolidation and aggregation of the reference features. The four hydrofabrics, which are stored and described in their respective child item folders, are the 1) Reference...
This data release is a polygon shapefile representing prospective occurrence regions of ferromanganese crusts and abyssal ferromanganese nodules on the seafloor throughout the global oceans. Polygons represent areas where oceanographic criteria, such as low sedimentation rate and moderate primary productivity, overlap with geologic criteria, including regions with appropriate seafloor morphology for each mineral type, such as seamounts and ridges or abyssal plains. The regions indicate where ferromanganese crusts and abyssal ferromanganese nodules are likely to occur but do not indicate whether minerals have been found in these regions, nor do they indicate the presence of a mineral deposit.
The National Hydrologic Geospatial Fabric Reference and Derived Hydrofabrics is a geospatial dataset used for hydrologic modeling, containing a network of connected rivers, lakes, and catchments. It consists of four different network representations: Reference Fabric, Refactored Fabric, target-size Hydrofabric, and Point of Interest (POI) Aggregated Hydrofabric. Each representation is designed to meet specific modeling needs by providing different levels of consolidation and aggregation of the hydrographic features. The dataset includes features and attributes representing hydrologic locations associated with observational data, cataloging, or reporting water data quantity or quality, and structures important to...
This data package includes 17,014 pairs of raster geotiffs. Each pair is made up of two geotiff rasters derived from historical observations from Landsat satellites (04-09) over the Yukon, Kuskokwim, and Tanana rivers in Alaska. One raster reports estimated mid-day water surface temperature (ST) in degrees Celsius (deg_Cc). The second raster reports the surface temperature quality assessment (sST_QA_c) and provides the ST product uncertainty (also in degrees). The period of observation is May through October for the years 1984-2022.
High-resolution single-channel Chirp seismic-reflection data were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in March and April 2007 from Pacifica to Half Moon Bay, offshore San Mateo County, California. Data were collected aboard the R/V Fulmar, during field activity F-02-07-NC. Chirp data were collected using an EdgeTech 512 chirp subbottom system and recorded with a Triton SB-Logger.

This dataset contains the reef profiles and resulting hydrodynamic outputs of the "Broad-range Estimator of Wave Attack in Reef Environments" (BEWARE-2) meta-process modeling system. A process-based, wave-resolving hydrodynamic model (XBeach Non-Hydrostatic+, "XBNH+") was used to create a large synthetic database for use in BEWARE-2, relating incident hydrodynamics and coral reef geomorphology to coastal flooding hazards on reef-lined coasts. Building on previous work, BEWARE-2 improves system understanding of reef hydrodynamics by examining the intrinsic reef and extrinsic forcing factors controlling runup and flooding on reef-lined coasts. We developed this meta-process model using a training dataset of hydrodynamics...

This data release includes three tables containing cosmogenic beryllium-10 and aluminum-26 concentrations and related data from samples collected at four sites in central Alaska in 2020, prepared in 2022 at the University of Vermont (UVM), and measured at the Purdue Rare Isotope Measurement lab (PRIME) in 2022. The file "burialAge_siteLocations_centralAK_bender.csv" contains site locations in the NAD83 reference frame, and burial ages computed from raw data contained in the other files. All files are linked by the site_id_short field.

This data set contains U-Pb isotopic data and associated ages of detrital zircon from sedimentary and metasedimentary rocks collected in northern Yukon, Canada. The samples were originally collected as part of geological mapping and research conducted by the Geological Survey of Canada. They were recovered from archived collections and sent to the U.S. Geological Survey for analysis of detrital zircon using U-Pb geochronology methods. Detrital zircon grains were separated and analyzed by GeoSep Services (GSS) in 2015 using laser-ablation-inductively-coupled-plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) techniques.
