Note: This data release has been deprecated. Please see new data release here: https://doi.org/10.5066/P9A4FVZ4. The data presented here was collected adjacent to USGS stream gage 06730200 and includes both observed and modeled values. Dissolved oxygen, dissolved carbon dioxide, stream depth, water temperature, and light intensity were collected via passive water quality sensors. Modeled values include gross primary production, ecosystem respiration, net ecosystem production, reaeration, and light (when observed values were unavailable). Modeled values were obtained through streamMetabolizer, a USGS-sponsored R-package for estimating rates of stream metabolism. Estimates for carbon dioxide flux utilized both modeled...

The following files contain source data for use of the Community Land Model 4.0 at two study sites in Volcanoes National Park, Hawai'i. Included are: Biometric data: 1) Growth increment data for Thurston and Olaa, based on dbh surveys done in four 10 m by 10 m plots at over a 12 year time period at Thurston and at six plots overs a 12 year period at Olaa, 2) Field measured leaf area index data. Measurements were made using LAI-2000 and LAI-2200 instruments, 3) Litterfall from Thurston and Olaa over a 17-mo period from June 2014 to Sep 2015. Data were sorted by species/litter type. Data are weights., 4) Field measured soil respiration data scaled to annual values and compared with tower-based measurements of ecosystem...

These data were compiled to model the effects of flow regime and bed grain size distributions on rates of gross primary production (GPP) in the Colorado River below Glen Canyon Dam, AZ, USA. The objectives of our study were to quantify daily and weekly scale effects of an experimental flow regime on GPP in the Colorado River. The experimental flow was conducted at Glen Canyon Dam from May-August in 2018, 2019, and 2020 and contrasted steady-low flows on weekend days with business-as-usual hydropeaking flows during weekdays. This data release only contains data through 2019. These data represent daily-scale estimates of GPP, discharge, turbidity, water depth, and canyon shading for eleven reaches on the Colorado...

This data release is associated with a journal article titled, "Aquatic-Terrestrial Linkages Control Metabolism and Carbon Dynamics in a Mid-sized, Urban Stream Influenced by Snowmelt." The data were collected adjacent to USGS stream gage 06730200 and include observed and modeled values. Dissolved oxygen, dissolved carbon dioxide, stream depth, water temperature, and light intensity were collected via passive water quality sensors. Modeled values include gross primary production, ecosystem respiration, net ecosystem production, reaeration, and light (when observed values were unavailable).
