This dataset contains raster grids of water surface elevation for 15 modeled water-surface profiles at 5 flood frequencies (50- , 10,- 2- , 1- , and 0.2-percent annual exceedance probabilities, or 2- , 10- , 50- , 100- , and 500-year recurrence intervals) and 3 lake levels (representing average conditions, a 2-year-high condition, and a 100-year-high condition).

This data set represents initial forest communities developed for Isle Royale National Park. LANDIS-II requires an input data layer that contains the ages of each species cohort present within each cell of the landscape. To develop this layer, we matched the composition of forest inventory plots to a map of forest types, and randomly imputed U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Inventory plots within each matching forest type

These data were compiled so that annual wildfire could be modelled across the sagebrush region in the western United States. Our goal was to understand how wildfire probability relates to climate and fuel conditions across the entire sagebrush region. To do this we developed a statistical model that represents the relationship between annual wildfire probability and a small number of climate and fuel variables. Specifically, created predictions of wildfire probability using a biologically plausible logistic regression model that related wildfire probability to mean temperature, annual precipitation, the proportion summer precipitation (PSP), and aboveground biomass of annual herbaceous plants and perennial herbaceous...

This dataset provides topographic indices derived from 1 m resolution DEMs for sequoia groves in both Sequoia-Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Parks. All mapped sequoia groves in Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park and two groves from Yosemite National Park, Merced and Mariposa, are included. For each grove, aspect, slope, the stream network, height above nearest drainage (HAND), depth to water (DTW), maximum elevation deviation (DEVmax), and heat load index (HLI) are calculated. These indices were chosen because of their relevance in determining soil moisture across a landscape. Derived topographic parameters were calculated using 1 m DEMs generated in 2016 resampled to 3 m and a combination of ArcGIS Pro Tools,...
