Lidar point cloud data for Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge (CPNWR), Arizona, February 2022

These data were compiled for Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge (CPNWR) in southern Arizona, to support managment efforts of water resources and wildlife conservation. Objective(s) of our study were to 1) measure water storage capacity at select stage heights in three tanks (also termed tinajas), 2) build a stage storage model to help CPNWR staff accurately estimate water volumes throughout the year, and 3) collect topographic data adjacent to the tanks as a means to help connect these survey data to past or future work. Hydrologic gridded runoff and routed discharge data for Africa from 2000-2021

This dataset, VegDischarge v1, represents a significant contribution to the understanding of hydrological dynamics across Africa from 2000 to 2021. It encompasses high-resolution (1km x 1km) monthly raster data of deep drainage, surface runoff, and total runoff, derived from the VegET (VegetationEvapoTranspiration) hydrological model (Senay et al., 2023). Additionally, routed discharge data (Mizukami et al., 2021) for over 63,000 river segments is provided, employing different routing algorithms (DW, KW, KWT, MC, and IRF) to demonstrate variability in river discharge patterns. Land cover classification data for wetland complexes at Dixie Meadows, Nevada from October 2015 to January 2022

These data were compiled to provide satellite remote sensing observations of landcover in the vicinity of wetlands fed by geothermal springs in Dixie Meadows, Nevada, USA. Objectives of the study were to map landcover of water, vegetation, and soil between October 5, 2015, and January 21, 2022, using available imagery from the Sentinel-2 mission. The U.S. Geological Survey's Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) and Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC) processed 110 Sentinel-2 satellite images representing bottom of atmosphere surface reflectance and classified them within Google Earth Engine (GEE) using threshold values of the Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (gNDVI) and its inverse...
