The Gunnison sage-grouse (Centrocercus minimus) habitat suitability surface for Crawford satellite population represented here reflects summer season at a landscape scale context (window extents [radius] of 1 km, 3 km, and 6.4 km). Habitat suitability estimated for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service critical habitat extent (southwestern Colorado). We developed habitat selection models for Gunnison sage-grouse (Centrocercus minimus), a threatened species under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. We followed a management-centric modeling approach that sought to balance the need to evaluate the consistency of key habitat conditions and improvement actions across multiple, distinct populations, while allowing context-specific...

The Gunnison sage-grouse (Centrocercus minimus) habitat suitability surface for San Miguel satellite population represented here reflects summer season at a landscape scale context (window extents [radius] of 1 km, 3 km, and 6.4 km). Habitat suitability estimated for Colorado Parks and Wildlife critical habitat extent (southwestern Colorado). The critical habitat defined by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is similar to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service critical habitat, but due to a lack of mapped urban features, we did not extrapolate models beyond the CPW boundary. We developed habitat selection models for Gunnison sage-grouse (Centrocercus minimus), a threatened species under the U.S. Endangered Species Act....

![]() This dataset represents geology compiled for the upper AnimasRiver Watershed near Silverton, Colorado. The source data usedare derived from 1:24,000, 1:20,000, 1:48,000 and 1:250,000-scalegeologic maps by geologists who have worked in this area sincethe early 1960's.

Habitat suitability estimated for Colorado Parks and Wildlife critical habitat extent (southwestern Colorado). This population did not have sufficient use locations to model habitat, and therefore, we extrapolated the Crawford population (nearest and considered most similar to Cerro Summit-Cimarron-Sims habitat) models to this location. However, roads were not digitized for the Cerro Summit-Cimarron-Sims population, so we selected the top model from Crawford that did...

This product consists of Adobe Acrobat .PDF format documents for 10surficial geologic strip maps along the Animas River watershed from itsmajor headwater tributaries, south to Durango, Colo. The Animas Riveroriginates in the San Juan Mountains north of the historic mining townof Silverton, Colo. The surficial geologic maps identify surficialdeposits, such as floodplain, and terrace gravels, alluvial fans, glacial till, talus, colluvium, landslides, and bogs. Sixteen primaryunits were mapped that included human-related deposits and structures, eight alluvial deposits, four colluvial deposits, one glacial deposit, one travertine deposit, and undifferentiated bedrock. Each of thesurficial geologic strip maps has .PDF...
This dataset contains sample collection information and SNP genotypes for populations of Gunnison Sage-grouse across the species' range. This data was collected in order to examine patterns of adaptive genetic variation in Gunnison Sage-grouse. The data is archived in GenBank at the following URL https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/517770.
