Invertebrate, fish, and habitat data were collected as part of a cooperative project that began in 2002 between the U.S. Geological Survey, Colorado Springs Utilities, and Colorado Springs Engineering. Other entities have contributed to the project over the years including Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Invertebrate samples were collected and analyzed at 34 sites – 32 sites in the Fountain Creek Basin as well as two sites on the Arkansas River, El Paso and Pueblo Counties, Colorado. The Neversink River watershed (above the Neversink Reservoir) in the Catskill Mountains of New York, USA has been a focus of U.S. Geological Survey research for decades regarding stream geochemistry, acidification, and ecology dynamics. This data release contains monthly 270-meter resolution Basin Characterization Model (BCMv8) climate and hydrologic variables for Localized Constructed Analog (LOCA; Pierce et al., 2014)-downscaled CNRM-CM5 Global Climate Model (GCM) for Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 (medium-low emissions) and 8.5 (high emissions) for hydrologic California. This data release contains monthly 270-meter gridded Basin Characterization Model (BCMv8) climate inputs and hydrologic outputs for Salinas (SAL). Gridded climate inputs include: precipitation (ppt), minimum temperature (tmn), maximum temperature (tmx), and potential evapotranspiration (pet). Gridded hydrologic variables include: actual evapotranspiration (aet), climatic water deficit (cwd), snowpack (pck), recharge (rch), runoff (run), and soil storage (str). The units for temperature variables are degrees Celsius, and all other variables are in millimeters. Digital flood-inundation maps for a 3.4-mile reach of Fourmile Creek at Silver Grove, Kentucky (Ky.), were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the City of Silver Grove and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District. This dataset is a combination of annual Probability of Streamflow Permanence (PROSPER) predictions, Northwest Stream Temperature (NorWeST) predictions of monthly mean stream temperatures for August of each year, and predicted monthly streamflow discharge for stream reaches in the Pacific Northwest from the USGS database of natural monthly streamflow estimates, U.S., 2004-2015. This page contains results from 304 Fluvial Egg Drift Simulator (FluEgg; version 4.1.1) simulations of invasive carp eggs and larvae in the Maumee River, Ohio, under unsteady flow conditions. FluEgg models the drift and dispersion of eggs and larvae in fluvial environments. The eggs develop, changing in size and density, and eventually hatch into larvae. The U.S. Geological Survey simulated the drift and dispersal of invasive carp eggs and larvae in the Maumee River, Ohio, using the Fluvial Egg Drift Simulator (FluEgg) (Garcia and others, 2013; Domanski, 2020). The hydraulic inputs used in the FluEgg simulations were generated using a one-dimensional Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) 5.0.7 model of the Maumee River (HEC-RAS, 2020). From October 2017 through September 2022, the National Water Quality Network (NWQN) monitored 110 surface-water river and stream sites and more than 1,800 groundwater wells for a large number of water-quality analytes, for which associated quality-control data and corresponding statistical summaries are included in this data release.
