Summary

Industrial mineral site no. 1605, known as "Nemah River" is a site in Pacific County, Washington. This site has been associated with silica sand. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 37 on page 126 says "Similar to no. 8. Tested sample contained 81.1 percent silica and 0.6 percent ferric oxide. Light-gray fusion at cone 16 after removal of 36 percent clay by washing", and designates the value as "Possibly usable for molding sand ".
