Summary

PURPOSE: The implementation of a revised comprehensive conservation plan for the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge of Alaska is proposed. The plan, which would perpetuate or replace the currently in force 1985 management plan, would guide management of the refuge for the next 15 years. The 1.32-mllion-acre refuge, which lies on the Kenai Peninsula along the Turnagain Arm and Cook Inlet, has been described as "Alaska in miniature" with reference to its cross-section of Alaskan habitats.
