These data are daily summary checklists of all bird species observed at U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center (ASC) field camps. Purpose
Scientists from the ASC regularly work in remote field camps around the state of Alaska and elsewhere. Though not the primary research focus of these camps, many researchers maintain daily checklists of all bird species encountered during field work. The ASC has numerous historic checklists in their original paper format. To make these checklists publicly accessible, the analog data from individual camps was transcribed to a digital format for public release.
