This dataset is a point shapefile containing water-depth points collected during a sedimention survey of Lago Guayabal conducted during the period December 11- December 14, 2017 by the Puerto Rico office of the Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The goals of the survey were to determine reservoir infill sedimentation rates, generate a bathymetric map of the reservoir, and create a stage-volume relation. More than 270,000 water-depth points were surveyed along 60 navigation lines used in previous sedimentation surveys (Soler-Lopez, 2003, 2007, 2008). The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board, has compiled a series of geospatial datasets for Puerto Rico to be implemented into the USGS StreamStats application (https://streamstats.usgs.gov/ss/). These geospatial datasets, along with basin characteristics datasets for Puerto Rico published as a separate USGS data release (https://doi.org/10.5066/P9HK9SSQ), were used to delineate watersheds and develop the peak-flow and low-flow regression equations used by StreamStats. This version (1.0) conveys differences between 2014 NSHM fault sources and those recently released in the earthquake geology inputs for the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM) 2023, version 1.0 data release by Hatem et al. (2021). The Murderer’s Creek mule deer herd winters south of U.S. Route 26 in river valleys near Canyon Creek, Murderer’s Creek, and the South Fork John Day River. The herd’s winter ranges are characterized by western juniper, big sagebrush, and Columbia Basin grassland communities, with medusahead and other non-native grasses invading lower elevations. South of Interstate 40 elk reside primarily in Arizona’s Game Management Unit (GMU) 8. Upon completing population surveys in 2021, approximately 4,000 elk were estimated to inhabit GMU 8. Their summer range is primarily characterized by high-elevation ponderosa pine forests and grasslands. The elk radiate out from various origin points within their summer range to their winter range, comprised of rims of canyons in the area, including Sycamore Canyon, Tule Canyon, and Government Canyon. This dataset contains base-flow recession time constant (tau) contours that are interpreted from tau values calculated at streamgages in the Niobrara National Scenic River study area. The contours were created by interpolating the calculated tau values using geostatistical kriging methods. Kriging is a geostatistical method that can be used to determine optimal weights for measurements at sampled locations (streamgages) for the estimation of values at unsampled locations (ungaged sites). The kriged tau map could be used (1) as the basis for identifying areas with different hydrologic responsiveness, and (2) in the development of regional low-flow regression equations. This data release pertains to a seepage investigation and dye tracing study conducted in the Big Creek watershed of Newton County, Arkansas. The seepage dataset includes geospatial files of discharge measurement points and zero-flow observations along with vector lines delineating losing and gaining stream reaches. Geophysical measurements were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) at five sites in Interior Alaska in September 2021 for the purposes of imaging permafrost structure and quantifying variations in subsurface moisture content in relation to thaw features. Borehole nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data were collected at two sites in order to determine liquid water content at depth in shallow boreholes. NMR data were collected in a 2.25 m-deep borehole at the North Star golf course adjacent to one of the ERT profiles, and in another two 1.625 m-deep boreholes adjacent to Big Trail Lake where previous NMR measurements were made in 2019 and 2020.

This data release provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution airborne magnetic survey over parts of northwestern Minnesota near the town of Mentor. The airborne survey was funded by the Earth Mapping Resources Initiative and was designed to meet complementary needs related to geologic mapping and characterization of mineral resource potential. This data release provides digital flight-line and gridded data for a high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over the region surrounding the Wet Mountains of southern Colorado, including parts of Custer and Fremont Counties. Globally, groundwater dependent ecosystems (GDEs) are increasingly vulnerable to groundwater extraction and land use practices. Groundwater supports these ecosystems by providing inflow, which can maintain water levels, water temperature, and chemistry necessary to sustain the biodiversity that they support. Many aquatic systems receive groundwater as a portion of base flow, and in some systems (e.g., springs, seeps, fens) the connection with groundwater is significant and important to the system’s integrity and persistence.
